    Zoolander

I love the way he says eulogy....yugoogalizer... one that speaks at funerals. This movie is a classic, it's just so damn funny! I've seen it heaps of times and I still laugh at it every time I see it.

    Journalism

UTS journalism is tops, and I'm not one to knock other courses, so bex is right, the CSU Bathurst course also has a very good reputation. Those would be the two best journalism courses in NSW. I'm in first year journo at UTS and we have done a lot of print journalism, plus some radio and tv...

    Latham - education

I think it's a smart move by Labor in some ways.... they will win votes for those that despise the uber-rich, and the uber-rich whose kids go to those schools probably weren't going to vote for labor anyway.... Public schools and the smaller independents/catholics etc need more funding.

    Publications by UTS Journalism Students

So, you want to get published? I thought those that may be interested in studying UTS journalism might find reading some of this stuff helpful. On Friday and Saturday UTS Journalism students ran Newsday, a day where we operated like a real life newsroom, and produced an online and print...

    Muckup Day/Week: Ideas, Photos Etc

On our muck up day they made us all go out to the bush and go bsuhwalking.... we were all dressed up in wacky costumes.... but basically they kept us away from the school during schools hours so it sucked! When my uncle's year had muck up day they picked up someone's beatle car and put it...

HELP! How do I write an outstanding personal statement for the Usyd Scholarship?

I got on the shortlist for a Sydney Scholarship but then my UAI automatically ruled me out because I wasn't going to get in to the course there anyway lol. I just found mine on the computer lol.... I'll post it but it is a bit embarassing.... it's really nothing special or anything. One of...

    journalism?! at UTS??

People hate them for a few reasons: 1. Because they are compulsory 2. For majors like MAP they don't have much relevance 3. Some people have no interest in them The compulsory subjects are Communication and Information Environments (sem 1) and Media Information and Society (sem 2)...

    ok, so this browning dude

Write about what you know best in the exam. Browning does have a lot to do with I&S, but if you feel more comfortable writing about A Dolls House then write about it... you want to maximise your marks. If you are struggling with Browning, look on the main page under EE1 notes, I posted some...

    Some Coffee making certificate

Yeah I agree the best way is through experience in the work place.... and at some places they send you to a coffee course when you are hired anyway.

    Food and Beverage Staff?

Food and Beverage Attendant can be so many different things... often it can be a bar person in a place which sells food as well, or sometimes it can be a waiter who serves food and pours wine etc.... I think it would be best to ring up and clarify what they mean exactly by the term because it...

    Wanna See HECs fees eliminated

HECS really is necessary.... though I just wish they wouldn't havae increased it. At least you can pay it off after uni, so that means really that anyone who gets the necessary UAI should be able to go to uni.

    Some Coffee making certificate

The courses don't even really qualify you to work somewhere really ritzy, most of them just do basic stuff... they say they are barista courses, but you don't get anywhere near qualified enough to be a barista, just to make fairly basic coffee. But if you don't know how to make espresso coffee...

Albury kicks Wagga's ass... I've found Wagga to be really rough whenever I have been there. Jess I'm sure you will like Albury, you should make a trip down and check it out. And if you have a car, you could live anywhere, it's about a 15 min drive to CSU Albury from Thurgoona.

Thurgoona is a nice campus, and it is totally bush lol but transport is the main problem with living out there. Albury is a good place though, nice and laid back. Probably similar to Newcastle in terms of lifestyle etc (except there is a river instead of a beach) but it is a fair bit smaller...

Not to put a downer on anything but I've heard the social life at CSU Albury is nothing compared to Bathurst.... but Albury is ok, it's a nice place, there is good nightlife on the weekend. Also, if you don't have a car and will be studying primarily at Albury city DONT live at Thurgoona. It...

    Australian Idol 2004

Angie and Casey being in the bottom two illustrated clearly that the Aussie Idol is hugely based on looks rather than singing talent.
