    Advanced Maths Predictions

How about the strength of the correlation? 0.4564 doesn't seem to be very good. The Cambridge textbook classifies 0.4-0.6 as describable as "moderate". So rather than just say "positive correlation", maybe "moderately positive correlation" might be better. And how about the caesurae on the...

The Advanced and Standard 2 solutions may appear at Matrix Education at https://www.matrix.edu.au/hsc-solutions/ soon too. Not sure if they do Standard 1 solutions though. Where can we find the 2022 past papers?

Most of the commercial trials won't have online copies on their websites and you are not supposed to put them on BOS due to copyright. However one of them, the Western Mathematics are happy to put their older ones on their website. The 2022 ones are not there yet but will be soon. Nevertheless...

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

Well cheaper than the 100. But exploring my question a bit more "can you guess why they chose 8200 for the new calculator name?" ..... at the moment there are 2 calculators - the 82 and the 100 sold concurrently. As from July next year there will be only one - the 8200. The older 82 and 100...

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

Don't know the answers to most of these questions. But CASIO do have an answer to the last one: So you can see that it is likely to be priced between the 82 and the 100. Had you asked these questions yesterday I might have been able to try to answer them, but really - the presentations didn't...

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

Well it's just a prototype so the final version could look completely different. Regardless of aesthetics there are a few crucial buttons that I reckon will stay : Home, Settings, Variable, Function, Catalog, Tools. These are completely new and will take some time to get used to.

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

I made a photo of the prototype I've been using the last couple of days: I think blue Shift functions is a terrible colour on a black background. Yellow or white would have been better. What do you think?

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

I was told today that samples of the new calculator will be sent to schools in term 1 next year. This will give schools time to prepare as it is quite different to the old ones.

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

Well the physical calculators are suppose to be out by July 2023, so yes probably. Actually what happened last time (for the second edition calculators) was they came out a few months early so that could happen again. So you may even see them in shops before July.

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

Mostly yes I think so and quite a bit more. But they would't let you take the calculators away for a more thorough workout so I couldn't really test every feature. They did however make a comparison chart: So you see measurement conversions is not on the new one, but was on the fx-100AU PLUS...

CASIO fx-8200 AU - new calculator coming next year.

Today I've been trying out the prototype of the new CASIO fx-8200 AU calculator coming out next year. Some CASIO people from Japan came to Tweed Heads to let people play with them. You see the AU suffix means they made them specifically for Australia. The presentations are quite structured and...
