say if 2 people get 100% for all their tests, and the grade average was 77% for all tests, would that mean the people who have had 100% in all tests would be moderated down when the school determines our school assesment mark because the standard deviation is lower (i think :confused: ) ?

yeah well i havent been getting 90% and above. i miss out by like 5% - yes i'm getting 86% average. with your rank as 17 thats really good to end up having a mark of 45/50! esp if it was at a comprehensive school as well. i mean, we have people getting 100% in these test, which is rather...

i know my friend did the option by himself and the rest of the class did the same thing. i guess it was hard in terms of pracs because the teacher had to go out of their way and you'd have no one to do the prac with :p

I did ext 1 maths last year and i got 83 at macquarie fields HS (half selective half community, and my ranking was 13th/50). this year i moved to Girraween HS, a fully selective school and i'm doing it again. i dont know whether i should keep 83 for ext 1, and concerntrate on my other subjects...
