Re: Pressure From Parents my parents don't really pressure me. It's pretty much all up to me to keep myself on track and focussed. The way it should be i rekon.

Does anyone here go to university libraries for resources?? I'm thinking about it but I don't know how helpful it will be. I've only heard of people going there for modern history.

study is going slowly but steadily. Im avoiding some subjects though (phys&eng) hopefully i don't leave them til the night before... especially phhysics. English is much easier to wing...

I live a short bus trip from mq. So yeah, 15 mins im guessing... oh, so atm there's no live music at mq? yeah mq has a completely different vibe than the others i have seen (usyd,unsw,uts). I quite like it. But at times do you feel that it is a bit too mellow?

I got mine at Bing lee somewhere. and yeah, i quite like it. small and light. Should be handy at uni.

So I've heard UNSW is awesome in terms of gigs, parties and everything. How does MQ compare? I mean, your uni experience should be made up of other things other than your degree... talk away!

Oh yeah, sorry guys, I was talking about economics. I wrongly assumed this was the case for all degrees. So why does MQ only allow one economics major when doing a single degree??

yes, and so do i. But for every one student who is aware of what is happening in the world and is economically informed there is 100 kids who don't. 16 year olds, in general, are so easily persuaded by factors which are totally irrelevent.

Can someone give me an indepth expaination of these words. Please. I have some idea about what they are but I'm not all that sure. Im certain there are others that are a bit vaig on these terms so I decided to ask in a thread. Thanks in advanced.

Why does mq only allow students to do ONE major? I've heard it's the only sydney uni that does this.. thanks.
