    Number of units?

Yup - thats exactly what would happen. They take your best 2 units of English regardless if its ESL, Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, Extension 2. Presumably this would even extend to Comparative Literature but on that I'd have no idea. But to reiterate, your 3u & 4u english marks can fill the...

    Malfunctioning Anchor tags

Hey, I seem to have a problem with the anchor tags - I've checked and double checked with what I've been using and from what I can see, what I've been doing is correct, but it just won't work. Can some one explain to me what I need to change...

Late Round Offers & Alternative Pathways

When you take up these Diplomas at Insearch or SIBT I think that it is essentially identical to accepting a first year FEE place and transfer to a HECS place after your second year - the only differences being the initial entry requirement and that your HECS placing in the Bachelor is virtually...

    cf conventions?!

The conventions essentially are the staples of a given genre - for example Bond movies will always have suave actors and nifty gadgets. Crime fiction is similar in this respect in that it has recurring events/objects/blah that keep popping up. Examples include the detective(and the type of...

    Study Guides

If you want a last minute guide http://hsc.csu.edu.au is probably better than anything Excel could give you since their section on RFTG was written by the person who wrote RFTG itself. That aside - its really at the point where swallowing a study guide won't be of that great a benefit. Just...

Where can i find the address to mail Application form ?

I think thats it - its all the site gives. And don't be too anxious about lack of specific address number because thats the way it works with the unis when you have to mail things as well.

If UAI is a rank, does the average person get a 50 then?

The reason the median is higher than 50 is because you are ranked according to what would have happened if everyone from that year of your SC was finishing HSC - however many drop out or do pathways so that the number of candidates is different. For example(these are just made up numbers btw)...

    Standards package.

Hey rachael230, if you want to have a look at the 2001 English Ext 1 standards package, there is a link right here. :) It should however be noted when reading the standards package that an essay in the 'high' range or E3/E4 does not denote that this is the best possible essay, only that it...

    Welcome

Hey 06ers! Just some advice for the year ahead - study smart instead of hard, start your work early and never sacrafice your health or who you are for a few silly letters and marks. Good luck in your year ahead!:)

What are you going to do if your UAI = crap?

What I'll do if my UAI is crapola: If I get in the high 60s(or maybe lower if the RET and EAS pay off) - do a BA at UWS and transfer to MQ or USYD after a year. If that fails I would then one of the following: Do an LPAB(which needs no UAI) and attempt a transfer into an LLB/BA, if not -...

architectural technology at tafe & transferring to uni

Um, I can answer some of that - when you are applying the Universities will be looking at your TAFE GPA averaged with your UAI and that is your new entrance rank for uni. For example you get such and such marks at TAFE in your Diploma and that get converted to a score. This document has...

What happens if you miss an exam?

If it is impossible for them to sit the exam, then the school will submit an estimate of how they think the person would have gone in the exam. This however is only if there is co-operation with the BOS - a general doctors certificate for the cold cannot be used to skip the exam so you needn't...

    2 yr degrees

You can also elect to do a three semester year degree at OLA/Open Education, the correspondence uni so it would be feasible for you to get a bachelor in one case(the BGenStu) in 1.5 years with them.

    Correspondence Courses scaling

HSC via correspondence scales exactly the same way as the schools and TAFEs, however if you do a large amount of subjects (at least 4 units I think - something like that) then you can apply for EAS. However this only applies if it wasn't your choosing to do that exact subject at school ie...

    Some help with fulfilling outcomes

Hmm, it sounds ok but I would fiddle with your opening sentence slightly as it feels slightly disorganised. It also feels like you need a more appropriate start to your following sentence from the rhetorical question since the way its phrased doesn't link it in properly as the answer. Its well...

    Scaling/major-works/confusion

If you are really keen to drop something and your major works are your favourite subjects, why not do away with business studies? That'd put you on 11 units and they'd be all mw subjects but with still the option of dropping either ee2 or histx if it gets too much for you later on.
