ok well luckily i use windows media player too so i can help ya :) to go tools > options > and click on the library tab, and uncheck the box that says "retreive additional info from the internet" or something like that, and then click the "privacy" tab and uncheck the "update music files" box

lol that's ok :p prolly best to ignore the model numbers anyway lol - you can tell which version an ipod is just by looking @ it :)

do you use windows media player? the pics shouldnt take up too much space, hardly any in fact

what bit confuses you? iPod 15Gb ('04) - Mac & Win is this one the other ones seem relatively self-explanatory? though they do seem to double up on some of the item descriptions =S
