Ok, what if say, keeping with the above example, I'm ranked 3rd and then come last in the HSC exam, do I still get the 3rd top exam mark?

    Few questions

I've got a few questions that I hope you will be able to help answer for me. Say I am ranked 3rd in Chemistry. If in the HSC exam, I come first out of my school, does the person ranked 1st get my HSC exam mark, and I get the 3rd best HSC exam mark? Likewise if I totally screwed up in the exam...

    Help a teacher out :)

Go over every dotpoint and teach it. I.e do not make students 'research' on the Internet or complete for homework dotpoints (such as those research ones in third column of syllabus). If you make them do this, they will be disadvantaged, as you can be sure other teachers actively teach this.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

'linear' means a straight line. So the discussion is progressing in a straight line, not going in circles.

    LOL TRIAL exam was LOST.

Theres no easy way to fix the problem. You should either get an estimated mark based upon your other assessments, or if you think you done good in the paper, be allowed to sit another paper of similar diffucuilty.
