Right. Time to start studying again?

This thread just gave me some motivation to study. Thanks guys. I keep thinking I can still take a bit of a break, however I do have a bit to get through =/ THAT'S IT! It's my final year so why lay back now? Why do less now? Put in everything! (Sorry, trying to motivate myself.)

    people who get 99+ Atars.....

Well I assume an ATAR between 90 to 99+ would require different amounts of hard work. (correct me if I am wrong.) 99+ you really need to put in the effort and consistency, as it is not so simple for many but it is not impossible. You hear of people getting an ATAR like that and so it is not...

    Holiday Study Habits

That's great. Using the hour method also does not mean you get a productive amount of work done in say, 2 hours. It may take you longer or even less depending on the task. Saying one studies 5 hours, etc, can mean that during that time it does not necessarily mean one got a lot done.

    Making an ATAR goal

It is up to you how much you will let that put you down. Ofcourse it does affect you and sometimes people will just ignore it. I have been in an evironment like that before, but not to a high extent. I have experienced negativity from others, but who are they to tell you what you will achieve...

    Making an ATAR goal

Hmm yes you do have a valid point. Personally I would not aim that high either, and I guess having an idea of where you want to be may help you in your study. I think goal or not, we sort of have an idea of what we want and we will work hard even with people who don't have a goal. So goal or...

    Making an ATAR goal

Thanks so much! Well i have started writing down some quotes that inspire me and will stick them around my room. I also have the atar I want on a piece of paper, however with someone mentioning that we have no control over UAC, i guess aiming for band 6 is ideal? I hope to keep this a...

    Making an ATAR goal

Hey, I have an atar goal of 96.2. When it comes to goals, I aim to have the atar i need and also 0.5 more added on to that. However, i also want to be realistic. I get the motivational talk of believing in yourself and that you can get the ATAR you want. It is not impossible and you need to...

    Should I drop history extension?

I'm doing history ext. too and a PIP. I was also thinking if there is a point in doing it as 1 unit would only count right? But then I do enjoy it too. Good luck with what you choose.

Year and school and pulling down marks...

Hey, I was wondering how much the school or year group comes into your final ATAR? I am worried because I do not know what rank my school is but assuming not too high. And I want to do very well but how much will they affect me? This doesn't seem fair to me if it affects a lot.

How do YOU prepare for exams?

Hello, I got my year 11 report back yesterday and I believe I did really well. However, many of my comments said that my exams let me down and I need to work on exam preparation. I ace assessments but when it comes to exams I think i just get scared and don't put so much time into them. I...
