hi i just wanted to ask a question i am currently doing english advanced and am in year 11. i have received 95% for it and am ranked 1/163 in a selective school ranked 33 last year... i was wondering, do you think I would benefit if I dropped english advanced for year 12 and did english...

    how fast can you write??

the only way writing 56wpm could be possible is if you wrote the word 'a' or 'is' as many times as you can in 1 minute. If the words were any more sophisticated or longer in length, it would be humanly impossible. I write about 35wpm I think. But I type 125wpm lol.. I wish I could type...

the preliminary 'I didn't go well in my half yearlies' thread

yes, that is totally true. for the 2U maths paper at my school (and I go to a selective school), one of the 3U classes had an average of 94%, with clusters between 92% and 95%, a couple just about 95% and only a few that fell below 90%. if you'd gotten 98% at my school, that would have been in...

    Drawings : Asset or Liability.

It is neither an asset or a liability. It is owner's equity. Drawings refer to money taken out of the business by the owner. Increasing it is a debit account, decreasing it is a credit account. Hope that helps! A bit late though, lol. I've only just started the TAFE Accounting Course this...

    What learning style are you?

It's a tie! You do not have one specific dominant learning style. This is a good thing! You can learn by reading, hearing, and experiencing new things. In a class you probably like to experience a variety of teaching methods; for instance, you enjoy learning by listening to lectures, watching...

    legal/economics/physics!

did you mean LEGAL 2u? you repeated physics twice, I just assumed it meant legal. well, in terms of which ones you should select.. there are a number of ways you could look at it: if you're looking at it from a scaling point of view, then physics and economics have the best scaling out...

    High ranks, but LOW marks

I totally agree with what youve said above. It's not that I'm doing badly or anything, I am actually doing quite well, but I have seen this happen at my school, and I go to a selective school. I find it a bit frustrating to be honest that those who work consistently end up being the ones...

has anyone prepared notes 4 english?

to be honest, I have NO idea why this policy was introduced. in my opinion, I think that it's because the teachers are lazy perhaps? when we questioned my teacher about it, they turned around and said, "just get your tutors to look at it." what about people who don't have tutors! (like me)...

has anyone prepared notes 4 english?

i agree with that also. most of the time feedback that is given for the grade as a whole won't even apply to me, so then I sit there wondering where I lost marks (since there's no personal feedback.)
