I don't think you have to enroll just yet. The girl I was on the phone with at UWS said at the end of all the rounds she had four offers to choose from so I guess they don't really have an expire date or whatnot.

I don't think there are social effects. People are generally really happy for you because it is a great achievement which you worked hard for.
