you n eed to go with a country that has a lot of information, as if you are thrown an obscure question and have a minor case study, you'll never be able to answer it effectively!

I would recommend that you wait until the first assessments are over to drop. Have a look at your results and see which is your worst performing subject! But, even then, make sure that you don't just use marks as the sole indicator of what you drop. In my case, I was doing Business Studies...

Writing over the lines is absolutely fine. However, it is better to try, as much as possible, to stay within the lines because if you're writing over the lines, you're putting too much detail in which is basically a waste of time that could be better spent maximising marks elsewhere in the...

yep, basically you get your (internal mark + your exam mark)/2 and if this is 90 or more, it is a band 6. however, you may have an internal mark of 85 and an external mark of 93, in which case your final mark wouild be 89 and NOT a band 6. hope this helps.

about 92-94 I'd say. no, it wouldn't affect you directly, but the strength of the cohort is important overall and it could therefore affect you indirectly as you are under pressure to get the top marks again in the externals!

yeah, exactly. i think i agree with that. so maybe it'll be 83 or 84 instead of 85 cut-off haha. it's a very sensitive issue!

ummm well it's primarily external for state rankings, but then if 2 poeple get exactly the same external, they go by internal. and yes, if 96 was the highest, youd get that as your internal and keep your own exam mark. average the 2 and you get your final hsc mark. :)
