same! i'm pretty bummed about that. i spent too much time worrying about that stupid creative writing question and how to fit my pre-prepared story into it. :eek:

i found that question heaps easy! yep basically i talked about how we can learn to understand and accept different cultures, the concept of community, how we should question the existence of violence in our society, and how it makes us feel good as it explores the concept of good overcoming evil.

wow ur teacher sounds a bit sucky, maybe what u need to do is do ur own research...theres lots of great information that isnt in the cafs textbook, like newspaper reports, the australian institute for health and welfare website, the australian institute of family studies website, 'issues in...

write an essay but change the intro and ending so it fits a speech format. change the intro slightly depending on ur audience. throw in a few rhetoric questions. and ur done :)

i'm doing cultural groups (the sudanse migrants) :) got some notes on BOS resources. yea i think community service groups are just any groups that provide services, which are accessible in the community. stating specifically what programs these groups run will getcha more points. :santa:

yay!! cafs is my favourite subject too :) together we will keep this forum alive. i havent made notes on technology and work as such, but we were discussing it the other day in class. there are some workers who can telecommute (correspond via fax/email/phone etc). off the topic slightly... idk...

a great thing is to not turn up too early for exams. in my year theres this group who turn up outside the exam room and say things to each other like, 'OMG i havent studied for that.' 'were we supposed to know this formulae?' 'shit how many related texts were we supposed to do?' 'didnt u know...

wow ur lucky that ur mum didnt encourage u to do adv. english...my mum, to this day, tells me i should've done advanced. it doesnt help when she says stuff like i'll never get a good UAI cos i'm doing standard. :mad1:

not really...i just draw up huge mindmaps with all the individual groups and learn 'em that way. :)

2 stories...well we have to study henry lawson and my teacher recommended we choose 2 stories to talk about INDEPTH, even though we have to study all of them. module b: basically we just have to know the text [in my case Witness] really well, w/out any related texts.

u could get band 5 if u work ur arse off and prove that u are band 5 material. mind u, the school that u g2 only counts for a little bit...say if u g2 tara/kings and u do crap in the exams, its not like the markers are going2 go, 'yep i'll give her 89 cos she goes there.'

its not the best idea cos u could say something u might regret later. and even if u do say something thats good, imagine if u got the job and u'll have to be ur real self and learn not to be shy. just smile and act really friendly. :)
