So i've found an advantage of a small store, we have no troubles with bells. If the supervisor is too busy to answer them we just nip into the service desk and get the smokes ourselves, or if someone in my vicinity needs an override i just tell them my numbers from where I am. So i got to work...

Likewise. That is such a safety issue (not having outside line access at the service desk). I can't believe that the safety and compliance officer hasn't done something about it.

I loled. Nooooo! I ring up people all the time! Apparently when the old SSO left the phone bill went down like $200 something dollars. Re: bag policy, I'm not sure if it's been abolished, i haven't heard it on the radio in a while. Yesterday when i signed on to a register it was like...

It's not an issue of varying from store to store, it is an a policy somewhere, but I can't remember where i read it.

We were meant to get managers this week, but i don't think we did. Um new hate: this customer double-bagged all of his fruit and vegetables in the fruit&veg bags, and even double wrapped a wrapped bag of carrots, which i tried to weigh because i couldn't see the packaging because it was so...

Talk about RF guns is interesting. Cyool. Ummm today was actually a pretty good day, i was just an operator. Except we THOUGHT we had run out of big bags, and then the load came and backdock woman was like "there's none here!", which is a huge issue for us cos we're like a two hour return trip...

Soz i'm back. Where was it? I didn't go to any Woolworthses. Whaat? That's worse than us, even we make 1k an hour or so after six. That's 50c for every resident. Ummmm so like i signed my PPT contract (temporary) today. WED: 3.15 - 21.15 sup THU: 10-7 op FRI: 12.15-21.15 op/sup...

Is Kewdale your AO? Our temp SM is rad, he used to be my old STM at other store, he's young and cool and stuff, but really shit on the mic so when he called the managers meeting on Monday i thought he called "malcolm" to the staff room and I thus did not attend. No work for two days, going to...

Maybez it's just staff in certain roles? How long have you been doing that? It's over a year for us now. The poor grocery people had been there since 5 when i got to work at 6 yesterday, i was like 'naaaw'. Someone told me yesterday that the first EBA meeting was held by a woman who told...

I don't think this has a basis in the truth, as i was reading another clause today about how if two parents working for woolworths pop out a babe, they're both entitled to certain leave and blah blah.

Whaaat? I didn't realise other states don't have breaks for four hour shifts? That's unimaginable. Yuk. Trust me, you'll get used to it straight away. The busy stores give out five hour and three hour shifts instead of your four, so it works out just the same really. Rostering will adapt and...

Ha! Yeah don't go dissin my size (of my store). While it's not as stimulating, it's great not to leave work with high blood pressure and the shakes every day. OMG at the bread return! On my last day I want to make lots of sarcastic remarks about how their suffering is worse than Kenyan...

You are in defiance of the returns policy, which states that we pretty much have to happily return anything. Also, i was speaking about the store in terms of size, not sales, obviously, which i'm pretty sure is the same as yours, 3 express (staggered), 1 smokeshop and 14 large? (this is not a...

oh my god i can't even imagine that. even in my old store which was quite large, we only pulled about 80k on a saturday. i didn't look today but i'm guessing we probably did about 35/40. Sunday's are dead here though. EXCEPT for one of the hottest living people i have ever seen who came in and i...

No please keep complaining? i mean what else would we talk about here if no one complained? yes i know i hate it when they're juts like "OK" and leave after you've spent 10 minutes going through various phone features with them, but it's also really relieving cos you don't have to do the ID...
