    Sulfuric acid is diprotic and releases two hydrogen ions, so you multiply the concentration by 2 and then do logs. H2SO4 + H2O -----> HSO4- + H3O+ HSO4- + H2O <------> SO4(2-) + H3O+

    ATAR question

    In my opinion, carrying 13 units to the HSC is very stupid... Your 10 best units are going to count, therefore a whole years of work for a particular subject and an extra unit will be gone to waste as it won't be counted. You will be creating additional stress for yourself and the workload would...

    HELP HELP ! English assessment mark

    The way they work out your internal marks is through the cohorts performance in the HSC exam. Your rank determines which mark you will receive as your internal, for example the person who is internally ranked 1st, will get the highest external HSC mark as their internal mark. YOU keep your...

    Help please

    She's on 12 units atm, if she picks up french extension then that means she'll probably drop chemistry because its her shittest subject, unless she somehow does 13 units which is stupid because only 10 best units get counted and she's limiting herself by doing an extra 3 units. Anyways if she...

    Serie and sequencesss

    I thought the way to do this question using series and sequences was to split the number into 2 and 0.8181818181 and then 0.81818181 is the same as 81/100 + 81/10000 + 81/1000000 + .... this ends up being a GP, and then you use the limiting sum formula , a/1-r which gives 9/11. Then 2+9/11...

    'Identifying' the thingies used to measure radiation e.g. geiger mullet counter

    Highly doubt you'll get asked a question worth beyond 3 marks about instruments that measure radiation. Just have a rough idea of the 4 instruments - Photographic film - darkens when in contact with radiation. This is because of the reaction within the silver halide crystals of the film Geiger...

    Standard English or Advanced English?

    You replied while i was editing my comment haha :P what i meant was that because of the aligning process, it is much easier to get a band 5 or higher in advanced than in standard. for example last year raw mark of 68/105 in advanced was an 81 HSC mark, whereas standard, the raw mark was much higher

    Standard English or Advanced English?

    Advanced only scales slightly more than standard, not by a huge amount. Its much easier to get a band 5 or higher in advanced than standard. And you can always drop to standard in year 12 if you're struggling, but do advanced.
  16. F

    Does the standard solution go into the burette or the conical flask?

    The standard solution (substance with known concentration) goes in the burette.
