    Sleeping with damp hair

Mature people don't believe everything they are told or get defensive when corrected/ presented with an alternative argument. Its funny to be in a first year subject as a second year, I took a first year pol class for interest in second year and it was funny to see the first years struggling...

    Choosing law electives

hfis, we give information not advice :) (I remember my first year academic saying that). I am a bit frustrated at MQs elective choices, they are all stuffy philosophical ones. I am hoping to do things like: 1. Clinical legal placement (If i get a place, they are limited) 2. Advocacy (if...

what percentage do u need to pass uni?

I don't know of any course where the majority of the course is always out partying... but even if there are some out there most uni students are naturally intelligent and can work hard when the time comes to and those who aren't work even harder. Basically you need to work hard, not all the...

what percentage do u need to pass uni?

MQ has a pass conceeded (PC) but in a lot of faculties it does not count i.e. you can't progress to the next core law subject until you get a P

what percentage do u need to pass uni?

No thats normally how it works, how difficult it may be to get such marks does depend on the course, but the allocation is the same. In Arts I have to work less for a HD but its not like more than 5% of the class get HDs. Generally they are only able to give a certain amount to maintain the...

    Gordon Wood Trial

It being recent makes finding anything such as transcripts, commentary etc difficult. In my first year I had to do a case note + commentary on a recent case (Combet v Cth I believe) and it had been decided a few months before and it was quite difficult to find anything. Is there anything on...

    GPA and failed subjects?

It will be counted the in GPA. Both attempts will. At MQ HD/D = 4 C=3, P=2, CP =1 and F= 0. That means that if u get an F the first time and a C the second time your GPA will include both a 0 and a 3.

    extra-curricula - UNSW or USyd?

That would suck. With MQ its not the distance but the lack of public transport and the like. I generally stay at my b/fs because he lives and ryde, its close but still u'd need a cab or lift once it gets late

    Best Beer for Girls

They say its a girls beer because Blonde beers are light on flavour...its nothing to do with people thinking its for Blonde girls, you just embarased yourself. Most girls I know like most low-carb beers because the beer flavour is lighter and they are also weight conscious. Also try Corona's...

    extra-curricula - UNSW or USyd?

In case you later decide to look at other uni's I'll add that MQ has an internal mooting comp which allows first years to participate, they are in the junior comp with second years so they can learn the skills without being traumatised by the 3-5th years. I'm not sure if other uni's allow...
