Fair enough, don't worry I'm sure the passion will be knocked out of me in a few weeks :D I think you should be allowed to try by all means, what I am saying there should be a way to take into account interest and experience as well (thats not to say to exclude all those without) for example...

I don't mean to come across that way at all :(. I guess since I spent the whole year thinking I wouldn't make it I just got very annoyed lol. I don't think it applies only to law but many other fields where there is a high demand. I am just very protective of my beloved law. BTW I had no idea...

I don't just think that, it applies for everything not just law. I did I say that you have to be 100% passionate about it. The people I am talking about have never ever spoken about studying law in their life and never showed any interest, in fact they had a complete different degree chosen out...

^ I've always thought there should be a law style umat test to filter out those who either are not suited to studying law or those who only decide to study law when they get a high uai and don't want to waste it...we had at least 3 of those in my year

Although, its been said many times even at open days at Syd and NSW that people with a UAI in the mid (i think) eighties should be able to cope in an Law Degree. As much as they say that i doubt a transfer would be possible with <90 Uai, for me it would already be three Ds one HD. I hope...

Uni Advice - Which uni / transferring?

As Frigid said watch out transfering from state to state, do a quick bit of research to see if you can be admitted as a legal practitioner in the state you intend to practice (that is if you do intend to practice). I'd also think it might be easier to study where you want to practice many laws...
