    Marie Antoinette: Kirsten Dunst

Hard Candy? Isn't that the movie about the teenager who decides to give an internet paedophile her own version of revenge? Yeah, that movie and this one? Two completely different films with two completely different objectives. I don't know why we're comparing them here.

    The Descent 2005

It depends what version you saw. The REAL version (the one in Australian cinemas) - Sarah's still left in the cave. Her escape was just a hallucination. What happens to her after the credits begin rolling, we can only gravely wonder... The American version: the escape was real. She got...

    Texas chainsaw massacre

I've only seen the 2003 remake. It was alright, as far as remakes go, but there was something off about it. Haven't seen The Beginning yet (not eighteen) but I'll surely see it when it comes out on DVD.

    Borat thread.

Those who think the movie is making fun of Kazakstan are so stupid they shouldn't even be entitled to hold an opinion. Talk about missing the point of a film.

    Marie Antoinette: Kirsten Dunst

I liked Lost In Translation. I fucking loved The Virgin Suicides. So I'm really looking forward to this one. I think some of you have missed the point of the movie. A pair of Converse in the shot? Yeah, that's the point. Do you really think Marie Antionette listened to New Order? Same with...

    Little Miss Sunshine

My favorite movie of the year. It was the closest thing to perfect I've seen in a long while. Hell, I even forked out enough money to see it at the cinemas twice, and I'll be first in line to purchase the DVD when it's releasted.

    The Shittest Movie Ever.

I actually liked "My Super Ex-Girlfriend". As far as romantic comedies go, it was pretty, well, funny. And that can't be said for most in that genre. My vote for shittest movie ever goes to the second half of "Happy Feet".

    Veronica Mars (aussie Airing)

    I got the S2 DVDs for Christmas. :D :D

    Teachers and selective schools

Tamara, my primary school was fucked up too. We had the deputy principal sleeping with the head of Infants (true, not just a rumor - my mother was close with the teacher who was head of Infants, so she knows all the dirty details) and fighting about whether or not they should have kids in front...

Yep, that's him. Bret Harrison :D

    the OC

Tasha, my cousin doesn't know them, but my friend does. Um....I don't know what proof I can give you. Maybe candid photos of them out together? Eh, it doesn't really matter. I can just tell you what my friend has told me, and I'm obviously going to believe her over gossip columns. :p And yeah...

Are you ready to put the 'H' in front of the SC?

At the moment I'm kind of looking at Year 11 as the chance for me to try different things so I'll know what works best for me in Year 12. For example, I'm going to forget trying to manage exercise books, since it hasn't worked for me in the past 4 years. I'm kind of a chaotic person who is...

Class of '07:Your reactions to 2006 HSC Results.

Hornsby! Yay! We've rocked the HSC for a couple of years now...I'm sure the trend will continue for 07ers too.

14 units - am i wasting my time?

I agree with jaaaaay - drop the one subject you enjoy the least. You're doing well in all your subjects, so by dropping one you're able to dedicate more time to the rest, therefore giving you the chance to improve on your already stellar results.

10 units - Too Much of a Risk?

I like looking at it that way :) At the moment, it would appear I will be doing 10 units for my HSC year. Because my school fucked up the lines and there were heaps of clashes, I've had to give up subjects I would have otherwised picked up and choose subjects I'm not necessarily interested...

    Senior Knowledge

Thank you so much. I'm really not the "exercise book" kind of girl (even in Years 9 and 10, I gave up on them start of Term 2 and just start writing all my notes in my Science book, hahaha) so I'm thinking I might give the folder thing a try. That's what Year 11 is about, after all...

    English Extension 2, 2007 - Mediums

Please, tell us more about radio dramas. I'm interested in script-writing and I've heard of radio dramas, but don't know a thing about them except they were really popular in Australia before television was introduced.

    Legal Studies

I'd imagine it's because the topics covered in Legal Studies may not be necessarily relative to those studied in Law degress. For example, Legal Studies isn't even "assumed knowledge" for any Law course at any univeristy. Still, I don't see the harm in doing the subject anyway. It's got to be...

kay my uai is messed up

If the cut-off is, indeed, 60, you could always have the chance of getting in through late rounds.

    UAI of 60.xx scares me.

From what I can tell, you can pick any combination of subjects and still have the chance of getting a UAI of 100. The scaling isn't the most important factor in calculating your UAI, your result is. It's better to do well in a subject that may not necessarily scale as well, than do poor in a...
