    Subject choices for next year

Acceleration programs aren't limited to selective schools. It isn't offered at my school, for example, and I'm fairly certain there are non-selective schools that provide students with the opportunity. I'd imagine you'd have to be very good, though; maybe you have to be approached by a teacher?

    Post Your Sc Results Here!

No, even looking through my book quickly this morning I found a few prerequisites. Like I said, they're terribly uncommon, but they're still out there depending on what uni you want to go to/what course you want to study. For example, a B.Arts (Jewellery) at a university I can't recall off the...

Are you ready to put the 'H' in front of the SC?

Don't try in Year 11? Haha, that's hardly the message I would be promoting...:p No, I know Year 11 doesn't count at all for the HSC, but it's the year you can try out different study techniques to prepare yourself for Year 12. Just because Year 11 has no direct link to the HSC doesn't mean the...

    Legal Studies

Eep, a memory fest? That doesn't sound like my idea of fun...eh, the study that I actually plan to do next year will hopefully help improve my memory skills. At the moment they're kind of non-existant...

Are you ready to put the 'H' in front of the SC?

Yeah. What you call "signing out" our school doesn't even do, haha. Like you said, each school is different.

    Premium Membership Pictorial Demo

My account has been activated, but my username isn't colored and I am not able to browse the premium resources because nothing has appeared. I can use QuickChat and stuff, so I'm definitely "premium". So why aren't certain features working for me?

    Subject choices for next year

Black Hawker it appears as though you'd do well in both subjects, so it's ultimately just a matter of which one you enjoy more. Don't feel obliged to take up Modern just because you're good at it -- if you love Economics, then the effort you put into it is going to pay off.

cs01001, believe it or not I do go to selective. Hence, my pitiable marks being even more pitiable. :p

    Is History Extension hard???

Thank you very much for the advice. At the moment there's no question about me doing EE2; I love the subject and am confident in my ability in it. History Ext. is the major question mark for me. I've got a year before I have to make a decision, I just wanted to get a general idea early. :)

Sparcod's Word Of Advice To Year 11! (Take it)

This is awesome advice. Thanks, all. :)

Are you ready to put the 'H' in front of the SC?

It's school procedure to "sign out" every year at my school, but no one really does. In Year 10, though, you cannot get your School Cert until you hand in your form with all your signatures saying you've handed everything back, paid for everything, etc. I had a such a scare with this; the school...

    Did your school tell you...

You sound like me. :( I feel your pain, buddy. I actually love my grade, we're pretty small (120 of us) and almost every friendship group gets along with the others. It's not too clique-y and everyone is really supportive and friendly...I'll shut up now, but yeah. I love my grade.

    Year 10's over.

I'm working Christmas Eve, too. 5pm-10pm. Who the hell watches movies on Christmas Eve? I don't understand. Eh. Black Hawker, I think we're officially over there beginning of next year, but you'll see a couple of us are posting there already, to ask questions to the 07ers etc.

    Last minute chem!

I think Year 9s can do part of the SC just like Year 11s can do parts of the HSC, through acceleration.

    Year 10's over.

Ahahaha, no. I get up normally between eight-thirty and ten.

    Did your school tell you...

I'm in the top 5% for English, according to BoS statistics. My other results aren't quite as impressive, but I don't really care about them. Ahaha. :p

    Competitions

The financial what now? Never even heard of it. Oooh, unless it's that thing all the Commerce peep had to do, in which case I didn't do it because I don't do Commerce. (Whoa, that was a bad, bad sentence. Apologies.)

    Is Sc Equivalent To Hsc?!!!!!

Well, the thing is, majority of people don't even bother studying for the SC. You'd hope there'd be some effort put into the HSC, no matter how minimal it is. Add that to the fact that in the HSC you are doing subjects you want to do and picked yourself, eg not necessarily Georgraphy or Science...

Did anyone get the report sheet for each subject in the sc folio?

Well, I didn't really try at all. haha I wasn't motivated enough to study and put effort into it.
