Lol, frames really do make a difference. I wear my glasses when I'm at home or during one of my lazy days. On average, I studied ~3 hours a day during year 12.

Not surprised tbh. Some English teachers who have had experience marking HSC papers have mentioned this. I guess that's why they harp on about the importance of an essay introduction.

I don't think you can expect the marker to know the plot of your related seeing as there are so many possible texts. In my essays, I didn't provide a sentence recount of the plot, because parts of it will naturally emerge through your analysis and elaborations. Quite a few people I know who have...

Can I suggest that OP checks out Plato's philosophical dialogue, Allegory of the Cave and the different interpretations behind it? I think you can talk a fair bit about discovery and nature, whilst throwing in some words about materialism if necessary. Feel free to PM me.

In addition to what seremify posted, keep the layout clean and simple, and you definitely don't need to exceed one page. Have headings such as 'Personal Attributes', 'Academic Achievements' and 'Availability'. Try to emphasise particular characteristics that would be valuable for the job you are...

I was referring to a thesis to answer a particular question OP may be given. Of course a thesis can't be set in stone if you're given different questions - you'd be placed in a different position every time.

It's all good stuff, just not stuff good for you.
