    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive When there is relative movement between a conductor and a magnetic field, the change in magnetic flux will induce a EMF in the conductor (Faraday) which gives rise to a current that will flow in such a way to produce a magnetic field (Oersted) that will oppose...

    2015ers Chit-Chat Thread

Not sure you should probably check the database But as my HSC supervisors have said: "We hope that you get what you deserve, not what you want" (i.e. Don't expect good marks unless you put in the hard work)

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive The infrastructural cost will also include changing all power stations to DC since superconductors only work with DC (Cooper pairs cannot form under AC since the Cooper pairs only travel in one direction) No transformers required to step up/down since...

    Predictions for physics hsc 2015

Heaps more - Just a few off the top of my head: Disadvantages: - The high maintenance costs are reflected in the high ticketing prices (Not available to all members of the community + not available in some areas) - People with metallic object such as a pacemaker cannot board the train -...

HSC 2015-2016 Business Studies Marathon (archive)

Re: 2015 Business Studies Marathon I came across some sample answer mentioning that it's beneficial because they can sell the newer, more expensive products first to generate a profit and then older stock (which was bought at a cheaper price) can be sold later

    Business Studies Formulas?

Woops thanks for the heads up though, I had a feeling that one was a bit dodgy :) Yeah they sometimes don't add these values up for you so it's important to know them despite being given the ratio

    Predictions for physics hsc 2015

They'll probably test us on those random dot points such as the changing definition of a metre, the advantages and disadvantages of using superconductors on maglev trains, etc. They'll will probably try to combine modules together as well
