how to write better english essays pls help

unfortunately its not, it's only a year 11 course. it's been a pretty interesting course, but i've heard that nesa is discontinuing it even just as a yr 11 course next year (although I haven't fact checked that)

    2024 HSC Chat

i mean if you have nothing else to do with your life i dont see the harm in grinding for the hsc it's nice to have that good result as a culmination of all your hard work yk then again some people don't care about that at all, and that's alg too

Class of 2025 (2025 HSC CHAT)

You can say that a text makes a responder feel happy, sad, etc, and that's all good and well. But I think what you might be missing here is linking it clearly to how a text creates meaning, and why this audience reaction is so important in the first place for said meaning. A text can create...

lots of protein, and just generally eating more than I would normally (don't stuff yourself that your stomach hurts though) and keep drinking water throughout the exam (good for giving your hand a break in between questions too)

    encore

sometimes your teachers or accompanist/s can have a good idea just from knowing you, but theres no surefire way to know unfortunately (as far as my music teacher has said)

Could I get a 90+ with these marks

I put your marks into carrotsss' raw ATAR mark calculator (designed for trials papers of the same level as 2022 HSC papers) and it spat out an ATAR of 97.05, which is awesome! If you wanna try it out for yourself, it's linked in this post

    Online resources for Biology

idk about for bio but edrolo has been great for my maths learning (mind you I do maths via distance ed so take from that what you will)

    Marking

linking things back to the question is great and all, but you may need to go a bit more in-depth if you really want to be hitting those full marks. and if they expect more quantity, then you know what to do! unfortunately in a lot of exams they expect you to write beyond the given lines (if it's...

how to write better english essays pls help

id be happy to look over anything too. I'm only class of '25 but I do english advanced and extension 1, and get 85%+ fairly consistently, so I may be able to give some feedback

    Marking

What matters for your final HSC mark is your rank, not the actual mark you get for your internals. Your 'internal' mark you get in the HSC is actually not that percentage, but it is a mark determined by how well your cohort does in the HSC. This helps to mitigate exam/marking differences between...

how to write better english essays pls help

do you have any friends in advanced english who can give you feedback on practise essays? this can help with sentence structure, general content integration (not content accuracy as it's a different course but that doesn't seem like that's the major problem here), etc. this can also work well if...

Did anyone else **genuinely** fuck up their english trials (missed questions, incomplete responses)?

true that tbh, but i still find the fact that you missed that message funny because it directly explained their situation (which they didn't even need to justify given it's private). But I guess you were too busy putting them down to notice. anyway, im glad you didn't have anything negative to...

Did anyone else **genuinely** fuck up their english trials (missed questions, incomplete responses)?

they're not wasting their efforts because they have places they want to be, and they refuse to let anything hold them back. what they're doing is extremely commendable, and I don't think you should put them down just because their study habits and reasons for working hard don't fit your...

Did anyone else **genuinely** fuck up their english trials (missed questions, incomplete responses)?

dude they literally explained why they study as much as they do to get results they want, it's for a very valid reason, and everyone learns differently. it's sad this still needs to be explained to you.

Everyone talks about the schools that do the best in the HSC, but what schools do the worst?

yup that's pretty much what i've been finding, coming across a few high student population schools with basically no band 6/5s now
