    People move around their tutes and labs during the first week when they're still trying to adjust their timetable. Keep your eyes peeled and you might get the slots you want.

    1) If both subjects are core, pick a different tute/lecture stream so there isn't a clash 2) If the subjects are electives, pick another elective

    Calculators

    I've never understood the difficulty (especially if you're a local student). Maybe things have changed since I did the HSC, but the most common Board approved calculators were the Casio fx82 or fx100, which you would probably take with you into uni anyway, and coincidentally they're approved...

    Safari 4

    It does feel a wee bit faster loading pages, but just from browsing and loading pages, it doesn't feel like that massive a difference. For work though I'm doing a GWT based site, and that feels faster on Safari.
