Check the details of the classes and try and find out if there is actually a real clash of classes. Sometimes its just on myUNSW theres a class bcause of the way the class is in the system but really theres no clash, so they make it a permitted clash.

I've never understood the difficulty (especially if you're a local student). Maybe things have changed since I did the HSC, but the most common Board approved calculators were the Casio fx82 or fx100, which you would probably take with you into uni anyway, and coincidentally they're approved...
It does feel a wee bit faster loading pages, but just from browsing and loading pages, it doesn't feel like that massive a difference.
