It does for Advanced English that's for sure. Romanticism seemed to be easy for a lot of people and Crime Writing was average as well. Maybe Life Writing or Navigating the Global will align slightly better? Who knows.

There are some exceptions I guess - the highest calibre of students. I expect all students to do some sort of molding when needs be, but I find it really hard to do something on the spot - I can improvise on the spot, but it's not great.

I think all the essays questions had two aspects to focus on which made it difficult to centralise your focus. But they still expected the same from every year: context, conventions and language.

I get why they attempt to steer students away from pre-prepared responses but the Board of Studies really need to open up their eyes and be pragmatic about it. My teacher whose quite experienced said he could barely do two responses under exam conditions including the sophistication, flair and...

The good thing for me was that my story was already in 1st person. Just incorporating it and changing the end of my story was all I needed to do.

The strangest thing is that my teacher wanted a change from romanticism cos he thought it was dry as fuck. So we switched from Romanticism to Crime Writing and now I'm eager to learn about it. Yeah, I'm sure that people wrote more than 27 pages... some freaks out there.

I did like 27 pages in total. 14 for my short story and 13 for my essay (my writing subsequently got smaller, don't know why). My handwriting felt slower and lazier today - don't know why though.

They were generic, though I had to do some thinking. I hate stimuli because I incorporate it, but I don't know how much they expect of it in terms how much to incorporate.
