what is the difference between selection rank and the lowest atar

ATAR is meaningless to universities, they only care about Selection Rank. Take your ATAR and add all available bonus points you have (for UNSW this is going to be normally either be from Captaincy, Dux, EAPL, or most notably HSCPlus) and you get your selection rank. If your Selection Rank is >...

Is it possible to transfer into BCOM from BBUS at UTS and go into 2nd year?

Heyo, credit transfers aren't documented well so hard to know; I think its unlikely you'd have all of first year 1-1 transferred over. A lot of first year comm courses have summer offerings though so you could get it done.

    UNSW HELP

do 1131? why put yourself through the slightly harder course for no reason. My combined mark was like 189 but i still did lower math and got 93 and 94 course marks in them.

unsw enrolment- free electives vs general education

Believe me, its a universal experience to be confused by whats going on - they really throw you into the deep end - just reply or message me if anything else is confusing ya - happy to help in any way i can

Commerce or economics for investment banking

They haven't said that you child, considering all of the firms hire a proportional number of UNSW grads as seen on linkedin data 🤣 focus on indicies mate

Commerce or economics for investment banking

Because you know damn well that thats not what they've said because no one says that. Both universities are fine. UNSW can be argued to be better, but USYD doesn't have trimesters so it wins. Either uni is fine for big law, but the real question you should be asking is why bother studying a bum...

Commerce or economics for investment banking

I would advise you to worry more so about finishing off your HSC in 2 years rather than trying to advise high school graduates as though mr 16 year old is the pinnacle of knowledge 🤣 when you get out of your selective school bubble you'll realise even the rubbish you hear from other 16 year olds...

Commerce or economics for investment banking

Not going to answer for privacy reasons. But some in the kind of firms I sent before, some in legal departments at the big 4, some in government, decent sample size of the sort of roles you'll see law students looking into pursuing.

unsw enrolment- free electives vs general education

Yeah! Just a heads up, a lot of GEN coded courses will also have non-GEN coded identical courses, for example if you want to take GENS1111 as a free elective but cant as it is GEN coded, you can take the identical course BABS1111. You can't do both courses though as they are listed as exclusions...

Commerce or economics for investment banking

Tell me more, Mr 16 year old. These are the three biggest firms by revenue that operate in Aus. Perfectly justifiable to look at as a sample. Happy to check any of your firms though, considering much of my family are lawyers in big law firms and they've all said the same stuff about it not...

unsw enrolment- free electives vs general education

crazy. to answer your question, as long as they are not GEN coded its fine, they can still be general education on the handbook, just cant have a course name that starts with GEN

Commerce or economics for investment banking

Not like you'd be able to understand, can't do any maths at your humanities uni 🤣 employer reputation is a factor on both of the rankings I sent and UNSW is higher on it, by the smallest margin, something around 2%. I also did my own research which confirmed that the comparison was mostly...

unsw enrolment- free electives vs general education

That doesnt sound right. You do 48UOC a year so youre saying 6 of the 8 courses you're doing in FIRST YEAR are free electives??? send the sample program

Commerce or economics for investment banking

UNSW is a newer law school, hence why less high court justices are from there. They are additionally ranked higher for employment outcomes and are more likely to make it in big law. Sydney Grammar is selective private, and they act much more like selective kids than private kids. Literally every...

why are you using up your free electives in first year save them buddy

Commerce or economics for investment banking

Private school kids are not smart enough to get the 99.5 for first year law 🤣 Either way, it appears like most people agree on the standard UMelb > UNSW > USYD > ANU for Law. That being said, I don't know what kind of moron would pick UNSW Law over USYD Law when they'll have to put up with...

Any Macbook Air thats currently being sold will be more than enough.

    ANU Vs Sydney Uni

Avoiding UNSW because prestige isnt important yet picking USYD over UTS for prestige... UTS is a far better option than USYD for engineering, and you'd likely get a much higher scholarship there. If you're more interested in how pretty a campus looks rather than the functionality of it (UTS...

    IPT into UNSW Actuarial

Economics doubled with anything STEM. Economics/math, economics/cs are probably the two I'd look at. Very important you do MATH1131/1141 and MATH1231/1241 first and second term of the year and then get the commerce and economics courses required for UNSW done quickly.

Commerce or economics for investment banking

Not in the first year law cohorts 🤣 and thats my experience. If anything, a higher concentration of private school kids would hurt the quality of the cohort compared to selective school npcs.
