I don't think christians are stupid for believing what they do. I don't know, what if I find out one day there is a God.. I know in the back of my mind that this could be possible. Hence, If i understand where you come from with a desire to believe then how could I discredit you? All I lack is the provision of evidence to me so that I can believe as I don't have faith.

All I said was it isn't humanly possible to have 56 children and if you can find one fault in the bible, then the entire thing is void.

I think the question of the validity of the Bible IS relevant, as all of Christendom is based on the idea that God is Knowable, but only through His Word, which is made explicitly clear in the Bible. Therefore, if God's Word has been proven false/contradictory/out of line with "Christian morality", then surely you have to question the Christian God's existence. I just can't see how intelligent people, who understand that religion in general is 90% a psychological thing, very much apart from an actual creator/ruler of the universe thing, can still believe...

I think you read wrong. In its lowest form, I said that Christians are basing their whole life on a Book that is false.
