I personally place socialism eg sweden as between hardline authoritarian communism and the centre (on a conventional left right axis).

On a compass communism is top left quadrant socialism bottom left quadrant.
What is this political compass u refer to

Really interesting, worth reading through all the info and taking the test yourself.

Test before reading preferably, so pretty much just head sequentially down the left hand link thingies.

Just figured i'd open a thread to talk about the differences... such as with Facism, is it really the extreme of the right wing governments we see at the moment? If you listen to musillini talking about facism, i'd say not.
IMO, howard & bush etc follow capitalism.

what about anarchism ?

Well Korn arguably you align with the ALP.

Internationally the possibilities include Jacques Chirac.

umm.. From your comments on the war in iraq i'd have to say the Liberals are your best bet...
As for political stance you seem to be on the right, i haven't paid attention to enough of your comments to say where exactly u'd be.

Thats, what i thought, so i assume that the website with the political compass is inaccurate or that Australian politics leans on the left

What you mean? Did you get far right or something?

I'd say australian politics definately leans to the right, even labor as much as some of them would want to change it leans to the right.
The only major party that leans to the left enough to be called a "left wing" party i'd say would be the greens.

Authoritorian Left... oh goodie lol
If the right wing of labor really was liberals without christianity that would be where i belong, but i somehow believe there would still be the matter of workers rights where I believe that we need to build a strong productive workforce to keep our economy strong..

All the systems are all the same. They all have their good points and they all have their bad points. I'd like to be on the good side of capitalism.
