Did anyone lose their timetable because of BUSS1030?

I have the option of either an 8am start or an 8om finish.. is it dangerous to walk to Redfern at 8pm?
Both options are pretty crap, 5 hour break for the 8am start and a 4 hour break for the 8pm finish.

P.S is there a way I can check the availability of classes at certain times? e.g. 400/400 for BUSS1030 at 1pm etc.

Is that the introductory latin course? If so it is very intense (especially if you have no latin background). You get almost to HSC standard (in terms of grammar etc) by the end of the year. Since you have studied languages you may find it alright in terms of grammar etc but I (and many others found) found it very difficult. I did a lot more work for latin then any of my other subjects. It required a lot of memorisation. I would say it would be necessary to attend the lectures. When I did it there were weekly (or fortnightly, can't quite remember) class quizes that contributed towards the final mark, so you would have to attend those classes definitely.

Saying that, I undertook the course in 2007 - so it may have changed since then.
Ah thanks. I spoke to the co-ordinator and she said the same. I'll probably end up taking it next year in an extra semester instead.

There is a security bus that runs around the uni and down to redfern station during semester in the evenings. Information is here http://sydney.edu.au/facilities/security/bus.shtml

So you can catch that if necessary. Sorry I can't help with your other questions.

Semester 1:

ECOS3901 - Advanced Microeconomics (Honours)
ECOS3903 - Applied Microeconomics (Honours)
ECOS3007 - International Macroeconomics

The assessments for ECOS3903 scare the shit out of me...

There'll be heaps of people walking to Redfern on the hour, every hour. Take the roads that everyone else is taking (the quickest route) and you'll be fine.
