Make sure you do extension 2, Physics and Chemistry. Then focus on doing very well in your undergraduate studies in whatever field of science you wish to heavily pursue at uni. Then enter postgraduate studies and work under a few supervisors who would happily take you along for their research...

Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016 Course by course basis I know that higher maths and physics in first year (ok maybe not PHYS1231 since less than 40% of the cohort actually do PHYS1221) definitely scale (some more obviously than others) but I'm not sure what happens with the non-higher courses.

Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016 Turn right when walking along Doncaster into Ascot street at the roundabout and check if the gate is open (I've only ever exited after exams this way and sometimes the fence latch is closed from the outside).

If your maths is solid enough then you can get by in most fields of engineering (main exceptions are electrical, photovoltaic, nuclear where you can do some catching up in your own time but no major issues there). You could wait and see it out if you really wanted to. Otherwise, drop whatever...

Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016 Up to date in 3 courses out of 4. This sem has been total destruction though. Need to do half of the 4th course. Lets see if I can get HD wam this sem. Gotta skyrocket that engo WAM now before double thesis.

Btw just a heads up. Don't ask about anything in reference to past papers to any of the academics or tutors of the course. Someone got destroyed by the head tutor before. I had quite a laugh.

Nah it's just that to make the most out of doing well in trials, you should look at the trials that your school has done in previous years. Also, you might run out of practice questions for the HSC once you get closer to the HSC. Nothing particularly wrong. It just isn't as strategic.
