    HSC marks and Examination marks

It is difficult to predict what your moderated assessment mark would be but it will work like this. The person who ranks first will obtain the highest HSC exam mark as his moderated assessement mark, which in your case it will be 95. He will also obtain his own exam mark as his exam mark...

    General Education (Gen Ed) FAQ

From memory I didn't have to go to the library at all for GENE7801 when I did it in 2005. It's a simple course with a lot of online reading. It's a good course to do. Good luck.

    So BIOS1011.....

I think BABS1201 is easier than MICR2011. MICR2201 is no longer offered. MICR2011 does require you to present to the tutorial group.

    Careers in research??

At least you know what you want to do which is already an achievement! Get yourself into a Science degree and after 3 years see how you feel. Then decide whether Honours in the field is for you or not. Half way through Honours most people would have already made up their minds as to what to do...

    Graduate vs undergraduate entry

Research Research Research! For Science PhD students we spend time doing experiments in the lab and try to discover something novel. For example I am trying to show that a group of bacteria isolated from patients can invade human cells, and in doing so, we may be able to show that the bacteria...

    Graduate vs undergraduate entry

You can skip Masters and go straight into a PhD if you get a First Class Honours (85-100) or Honours Second Class Division I (75-84) in a Bachelor degree.

    Medical Science?

Please note that you can't base your opinion on the average salary of a particular field on one person you happen to know. In most scientific field you would need at least a good Honours degree (4 year in total plus First class Honours or Honours Second Class Division I) to have a good chance...

Need help with choosing uni for teaching!!!

Re: University of New South Wales OR Notre Dame UNSW probably has a wider range of subject choices. However I don't know much about Notre Dame but I don't think it is a big university - the subject choices could be limited.

Med Science or Pharmacy plz help...

Yes you can sit the GAMSAT as many times as you like. I think only the highest score from the two most recent attempts may count towards your application. Please double check.

    Careers in research??

Yes you generally need a Credit average to do Honours. But many keen students in their chosen field would have made the required mark to go on to Honours if they wish to do so.

    Medical Science...Pros and Cons

Bridging courses are completely optional. All you need to do is try to learn some HSC materials in that course before you start university and enrol yourself in a non-advanced version of the subject when you start.

    Careers in research??

I would actually encourage most students to do Honours, not only because it makes your degree looks better and increase job prospect, but it really is a worthwhile experience.

    UNSW or USYD for Science?

Yes, do send it over and I'll take it look. I promise I won't kill your poster with nasty comments like how the reviewers killed my paper earlier this year. :( But at last it got accepted and published.

    UNSW or USYD for Science?

Sure. I don't mind doing posters because there aren't much to it. Personally I don't like lit review because I find it boring to write.

Med Science or Pharmacy plz help...

What I would suggest is that choose which ever is shorter because your end goal is to make it to Medicine. So I would recommend BSc or BMedSc, which are both 3 years in length. If job prospect is what you are worrying about then I can assure you that if you do well in your degree (but didn't...
