    Super high intense work outs

Big compound movements, low - medium reps, pyramiding to beyond your personal best. + Some isolation exercises either in your cool down or days off lifting. Madcow's 5x5 is what a lot of individuals on bodybuilding forums seem to swear by for begineers - intermediates: Bill Starr 5x5 -...

Anyone likes bio but never get good mark for bio?

Please don't take this too personally, and I know this is just an online forum but your sentence structure and grammar is fairly sub-par. In the biological sciences, markers do like to see well planned and structured responses, as opposed to the number crunching & short / definition based...

    Super high intense work outs

Very true, I actually sat down today and did a lot of reading and research as well as defining what I really want to get out of weight training. As a result I've ditched that routine and gone back to more compound lifts at lower reps.

    do you consciously 'tune' girls

Umm no, learn to read retard. It's the opposite, instead of being polite & modest I turn up the sleeze and cockiness. I'd rather not have to, but as some other post I read here, being a nice guy gets you no where.

    Super high intense work outs

Just thought I'd get an opinion on this, I'm trying out a new routine at the moment where my work outs go for not much longer then 30 - 40 minutes, but consist of very little rest and doing super sets. For example with the one set of dumbells (~20lbs), I'll do 10 front raises, straight into 10...

    do you consciously 'tune' girls

Most ppl change their behaviour to some extent, i.e. try to be more confident and funny then usual and try to work in to a story, their sporting / social / academic achievements. For me it depends hugely on how the nights going and the ppl I'm with; rarely however do I find being modest, cool...

    The 'I should have...' Thread

I almost feel at the opposite end of the spectrum: - I should have gone to the 21st's I skipped due to having an assingment or exam the following week. - I should have kept up going to the gym instead of putting membership on hold, and am now back to where I was 6 months ago in terms of...

Was this in Wurth building roundhouse? I found it funny that one of the requirements for the exam was tracing paper (I was doing molecular pharmacology on other side of room).

The hell of group work at uni

I was in a group of 3 where we had to do ~ 7 page essay + 10 minute presentation (total). I volunteered to be the one that would ammend all 3 of our contributions to the essay in to the one document and write the introduction: Day before its due- Can't get hold of any of them by phone, email...

    Level of maths in Psychology?

I wasn't aware of it really requiring any maths. Most likely there is some statistics involved in data analysis, which may mean you would benifit from taking statistics for life sciences in first year. I'll ask some friends doing psychology majors though to give a more definite answer...

Reflections of a 4th yr pharm student--pls read if you're considering pharm

To those people saying 'go industry' there really isn't one, Australia's biotech market cap is tiny and dominated mainly by 3 companies: Cochlear, Resmed & CSL. Most other companies are in heavy debt atm due to the GFC & government reductions in funding (except maybe Biota Ltd due to Relenza and...

A little bit. I've 65% made up my mind that I will do honors in drug design next year; I've really enjoyed molecular pharmacology this semester, and if I find rationale drug design as fascinating I will almost certainly do honors. Some of the projects I've looked at seem interesting, but then I...

is possible to cram the entire syllabus for all your subjects in 3 weeks?

3 weeks is a lot of time if you can dedicate yourself to 6 hours a day: 9 - 12 (do one subject) 1 - 4 (do another) Then alternate each day (assuming you are doing 4 subjects). I don't do much durring semester and have gotten as high as 90 in subjects doing this schedule.
