    Then stop challenging everything I say....gosh... From what I saw in the unsw handbook, with subjects that are offered in B MedSc, all of them are band 2 including year 2 and 3 subjects, excluding perspective in med sc I and II. I am pretty sure on this..

    I thought by now you should understand hecs are calculated base on subjects, not the course.... Those are offered by the school of medical sciences... not all med sc subjects in unsw are offered by the school of medical science...check the unsw handbook.

Biochem/microbiology are from the School of Biomolecular Science, which also are band 2. The only subjects that are band 3 are...

    Outstanding PIPs are awarded with a letter of high Distinction each year. Some of these HD PIPs also receives one of the 7 prizes from the Society and Culture Association. Read through "When do we get our pips back?" thread for more detail.

    I'm not too sure, maybe check out B Nanotech, or B Biotechnology. Most science courses have a common first year. After the first year, you can transfer to your desired course.

    As you know I haven't looked at the paper. But as long as the thoeries you wrote down are current and are found in textbook/s. If the marker never heard of your theory, and try to search it in texbooks and can't find it, you'll probably get zero.

    no. the hsc mark is the average of the exam mark and the moderated school assessment mark

    I haven't seen the questions, you probably should make refence to tonicity as well. i.e. the fish is hypotonic to the surrounding as salt increases....

    I agree...I don't know why people care so much about the relative scaling between different science courses.... the scaling is dependent on the candidates doing the course, that is you.

    Any options are scaled the same way. It's the overall raw marks that are scaled, not the individual components.

    My 92 HSC mark in bio last year got scaled to 83 something.

    For the xylem, both transpiration stream OR transpiration-cohesion-adhesion/tension are acceptable. For the phloem, both pressure flow mechanism OR translocation are acceptable. As long as you explain them. Active/passive transport are NOT theories, they are ways in which materials move...
