I live in Quakers Hill. Train Time: 1.5 Hours - 2 Hours. I am one of the lucky ones that has a train station nearby. Driving (m2): ~ 15 Minutes Driving (non-m2): ~ 40 Minutes I did the train thing last year and switched to driving. Forget public transport if you live in Hills.

The gym is very good. The free weight section very rarely has girls, while the treadmills & the machine section has more chicks. I've been to other gyms and I gotta say that the MQ gym is very clean and well-kept. :D

Linux is very good for some dedicated purposes e.g. web development/programming workstation, touchscreen kiosks, servers. I use Slackware Linux for all commercial applications. For the average user, Linux really has got little to offer yet - although I can't comment on the ease of Ubuntu use.

Get a box on wheels. Drive it for a year or two, throw it out and buy a decent car. You'l be learning to drive during the first year anyway. Learners experience is nothing like driving on the road by yourself (or with a group of mates distracting you).
