    Analytical paragraph structure

To be honest, your paragraphs should still have the same structure for every module (maybe apart from Module A as you have 2 texts, so if you decide to integrate both of them in each paragraph, it would be slightly different). Below's a very solid article on a Band 6 quality paragraph so you can...

?? Is it hard to get atar over 85 ??

Adding on to what everyone has said, I know that this shouldn't be ever thought of as an excuse or reason, but your subjects are very high scaling (with the exception of EAL/D). That can provide you with some reassurance. HOWEVER, that isn't to say you should slack off. Still aim for the maximum...

    eng advanced small q

I did it last year, so don't remember it at all, to be honest. But some of the ideas I talked about as evidence are the effect of the butterflies which appear in one scene, the use of different camera shots (zoomed in, panning across, central positioning), and the emotions shown by Fanny Brawne...

I believe it may be more targeted towards 2nd/3rd year uni students.

    Sample short answer responses

https://aceh.b-cdn.net/re20/d/2019-EA-Hurlstone-Trial-Paper-1-with-Solutions.pdf I was able to find Hurlstone's trial paper (I believe it's from 2019 as that was when it was uploaded). The 2019 cohort were the first year to have the new syllabus, so it will still be relevant.

    king's property

Not going to lie, having done Extension 2 last year, I've never come across the King's property nor have I seen it in writing anywhere (whether in a textbook, exam or in the syllabus)

    Math help

Yh, I typed it into Desmos and just intuitively thought that it may be the normal (as I thought y = 0 would be the tangent). But yh, unless you were able to graph it, it may be difficult to get it through algebra (calculus means)

I'm not sure if you have the answer for this question or not, but I think it might be x=0 (a vertical line). But again, I'm not 100% sure on it

(HELP) need help deciding on which uni to pick medical science at + Q's about post grad med

Yep, it's basically UNSW's version of a GPA. Not sure why they use it when pretty much every other uni uses a GPA as it makes it quite difficult to convert from one to the other if you are looking to transfer universities

(HELP) need help deciding on which uni to pick medical science at + Q's about post grad med

Just expanding on this, I believe they will choose 20 applicants based on their WAM and UCAT (applying a 50:50 split on this). Then, they will have 10 medicine spots based on the interview, UCAT and WAM. So it isn't a guaranteed pathway, but if you do get an interview, then you have a 50%...

    Math help

The normal will be perpendicular to the tangent at x = 0. So You should first differentiate the equation and sub in x = 0 to find the gradient of the tangent at x = 0. Then, knowing that m1 * m2 = -1 (where m1 and m2 are the gradients of the tangent and the normal respectively), you can find m2...

    Football discussion thread

No doubt, they shouldn't be anywhere near the quality of this competition to even be in it. They should 100% be challenging for Champions League every year, if not, Europa League at the very least. But I guess that's what happens when you let West Ham and Leicester finish above you in the...

Looks like ever since they went top of the Premier league, it's been just downhill from there. Losing 3-0 to Palace and Chelsea, losing 3-1 to Arsenal and now 1-0 to Vitesse.

    Comprehension responses

Those are definitely really solid answers. It may also be beneficial to @tito981 if you could source the texts to those questions and sample answers. I'm not sure if you can or not, but definitely would be very useful.

Please help with this chem question

I believe it's to do with the amount of dissolution. So Q essentially measures the same variable as Ksp, which is the concentration of products (gaseous or aqueous states) divided by the concentration of reactants, but it is at a specific point in time. So if Q is less than Ksp, this means the...

As the Cartesian equation has 2 negatives, the argument should lie in the 4th quadrant. Thus, your argument should be a negative, acute angle.

    English Advanced themes

Honestly, it will depend on your capabilities to thoroughly grasp and understand every theme. Definitely in an essay, 3 or 4 themes will do. Saying that though, it's a good idea to have excess, just in case some of the themes you prepared don't address the question itself. I would go for maybe...

    complex numbers

You can go about it by converting it into polar form, so you can equate the equation above to cos(theta) + i*sin(theta). Then, getting the right modulus and argument, you can graph the roots on a diagram

    Explanation of HSC Marks (Moderating)

That's interesting, because at our atar brunch/tea last year, none of the teachers asked or cared pretty much about our atars. I don't know if they get our ATARs or if they only get everyone's exam marks for their respective subjects. It was just a day to chill and meet up with everyone after a...
