i made a stupid stupid transcription error in 6a(ii).. which gave me a wrong answer of 90m. far out, u reckon if the markers just see where i copied it to the next line wrong, will penalise me 1 mark, and give me 2/3.. or would i get 1?

nah u wouldnt lose marks or anything, don't worry. they ask u to write numbers on every page so just in case the booklet rips apart or something weird (which is unlikely). but i never write numbers on every page, just on the front. except for yesterday arvo at economics when the old bag...

well the stats are there man, i'm not saying whether they're right or wrong, i'm going by whats given. i've read somewhere that a third of MX1 candidates get an E4, on average

they only had like 2 measly marks on probability, far out i was relying on probability in the exam to score me a few more marks. but nooooo lol

well, considering in 2001 the E4 cut off was 48-52/84 , and 2001 wasn't really a hard exam, i don't understand why u guys are saying like 60+ for E4

yeah, and then supplementary angles in cyclic quad in C1. and then i found both of the base angles of the triangle to be equal, hence isosceles.

yeh i agree the aligning will be better for us, to account for the difficulty and lower marks achieved overall. but that circle geo was pretty straightforward IMO, I used the alternate segment theorem, and then straight line.

Re: How did you guys go? i hope i passed (doubt it) lol quite a hard paper... but since the cohort will tend to do not as good this year, then I guess the raw band cut-offs will drop a bit.

It was a nice, fair and straightforward test IMO. However, I wouldn't say it was piss easy or anything.. it still was at the standard of past hsc papers. Raw band cut-offs should remain around the same... i reckon 82/100 for band 6.

I did Q25 (globalisation) and Q28(monetary policy). 14 Pages for Q25 11 Pages for Q28 Wrote around 6-7 words per line. I could write heaps coz I had 2 hours for essays, zoomed thru the MC and SHort answers. I really liked the globalisation one. I talked about WTO, IMF in good detail...

I reckon this year's paper is kind of on par with past papers, so aligning/raw-cut offs wont really change this year I reckon. Around 82/100 should get band 6 I reckon.

85-90 raw hopefully :)
