There's not really any 'correct' way of doing rankings. There's just different methods. The SMH/DT ranks use the most widely accepted and recognised method though. (and i've done full rankings in the past using that method)

Can't work out how they arrived at the 'Overall DA%' figure. In any case they haven't ranked it using the normal method which is why it is different from the SMH list. Clearly they didn't have access to the Overall Exams Sat figures.

Yes please elaborate. It isn't really clear what you are wanting to do. 3F means 3 Years full time equivalent.

HSC Mark to 1d.p. HSC Mark is the average of the assessment and exam marks. Ties in extension courses are broken by looking at the students other marks in the subject area.

The 2012 cut-offs are not yet known. You're close to past years cut-offs so there's a reasonable chance. It's a waiting game now so you'll just have to wait and see. The cut-off might go up, down or stay the same. Impossible to predict.

As in the past, if SMH or DT doesn't release a full list (unlikely they will), i'll compile the full list in a week or two.

My normal source has a page missing. The rest of the merit list is there so I assume on that missing page is the School Rankings. (Sorry, unlikely i'll have them up tonight.)
