the concepts in economics are quite simple but in order to get the higher marks in essays you need current data, an indepth knowledge of the concepts and you need to be able to relate it to current events. If you only learn off the textbook it's quite restricting... Economics is so much more...

Is anyone else finding that chem marks at their school is insanely low? as in 33% as the average and shit like that. I go to an alright school, and marks for every other subject are fairly high. But chem, holy shit. Most kids don't even know what's going on, as in, no fucking idea what the fuck...

I'm saying it's not a huge advantage. But un unfair advantage nevertheless. And am I complaining? I stated that there are students who write after time is up. I asked what schools are doing about this... I stated mine did nothing. And I even concluded that I don't really mind that people do it.

Water's good during an exam. lol, but yeah, sometimes I completely forget about having water. It's good to have when everything gets too intense though.

lol, why? And if you finish an exam with an hour to go, chances are you haven't written enough.

Most of the time we get that too. Sometimes it's just the "one minute to go" sometimes we get nothing until "AND PENS DOWN.." some random teacher once gave the "three and a half minutes to go.." lol, wtf?? But that's good, deducting marks if you're caught writing after it.

throw the kid an e-punch, that'll show him not to write well after pens down. lol. I'm just worried coz some of my friends occasionally do it and if they do it in the externals they could get fucked on. I mean, an extra minute in a 2-3 hour exam won't do much to improve someone's marks that...

Does anyone get tutoring in uni? I don't mean like tutes and shit. But like the crazy matrix/pre-uni/james-an hsc tutoring colleges. Because I originally thought tutoring was non-existant in uni and you needed to be an 'independant learner' there but the other day a guy I know gets tutored for...

Buy the study guide from dymocks or borders. It's quite good. I can't seem to find a lot of good notes on any of the texts I'm studying either. oh well, Gl with it, I'm still looking for notes on we all fall down too. If i find some good notes I'll pm you or post it here.
