    Butter or Margarine?

We have margarine at home, but I guess when you go out to eat and have those dinner rolls with the individual spreads I assume that's butter. We call margarine 'butter' here anyway.

    Jerseys

Ours arrived at school on the first day of Term 4. Some people didn't pick their's up until sign out day which was after the HSC. Ours were nice material/colours etc (much better than the year 10 ones) but had no time to wear them. I've never worn mine, but I don't regret getting it. Year 10 on...

    letters of recommendation

Everyone that applied for one received one in my year. So yeah I guess at some schools you have to ask for one. My year advisor's handed out application forms that asked us a few questions. If we didn't hand it back in, we did not receive a reference.

I figured that to begin with, joined at the beginning of 2009 (six months after i started working). I don't notice it missing from my pay so doesn't bother me. Might come in handy one day.

Wouldn't you have known you were rostered on for this shift like a week ago? At least a couple of days surely. Why did it take you long to 'decide' what to do about it?

I assume you would just tell someone in the office or your union delegate that you know longer want to be in the union.

Ah cool. I don't mind living in Newcastle. I live at Stockton which is a pain because its a minimum 15min drive to anywhere and public transport is 10 times worse. The thing I hate about Newcastle is the lack of job prospects for my career.

Waratah is near Mayfield. Over the rail way tracks. Do you miss Newcastle or are you glad your Mum got the Sydney job?

I'm talking about the trolleys seen in this picture that Harry previously linked to: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p296/mennell85/Australia/Brisbane%20and%20Australia%20Zoo/DSCF1519.jpg They are on the right side of the photo, near the escalator.

I'd never seen them at all until we got them. We also got one special trolley for people in wheelchairs :)

My store (Coles) has those smaller trolleys as well as big trolleys. Ever since we got them a couple of months ago the customers have been raving about them. They make doing loose stock so much quicker/easier too.

We have 4 express (attached to service desk), 2 at the service desk, 9 Large although register 13 is rarely used, usually loose stock is dumped there instead. Apparently we are getting self serve soonish. They've removed the entrance and made it bigger and I've heard rumors that our current...

    The Woolworths Thread

Yea I don't get it either - it kind of leaves us open to having more cash in the drawers. Neither is safe. Robbers are going to first come to the registers then they are to go to where ever the clearances go to.

I've been spoken to once - wasn't aware there was a rule/limit. I'm surprised I wasn't spoken to a few weeks ago - forgot the change in limit at night so the clearance would've been like 3 times what it should be. But I wasn't in again until like 5 days later so the CSM probably forgot. Never...
