We had the heath and beauty refresh done a few months ago (feels like forever ago now actually). Basically changes where items are located, bit purple block thing hangs from the roof that says 'heath and beauty' we also have one for 'baby'. the aisle is divided into different sections with signs...

We usually have a copy out the back and one at the service desk. Mum doesn't like shopping at Coles despite the fact she could use my discount. Her reasons are because she doesn't know the store layout and we don't have a Coles Express right next to it, the Woolworths at Warabrook on the other...

The old CSM was a bit slow with ours but latest would be Saturday. I always assumed they were meant to be up on Thursdays going by when other departments were up. Usually it was up by Friday afternoon - didn't bother me as I worked most Saturdays so would just get them then. Our new CSM seems a...

Service Assistants will need to take even more care in making sure products are scanned correctly. e.g. 12 tins of cat food can not be put in as '12' but rather the quantity corresponding to each particular flavour. This doesn't bother me at all as I always make sure I scan them according to...

Ours is usually in May/June and November and on Monday night 6pm-9pm. They post a sign that says ALL team members MUST be available to do stocktake on [date and time]. If our next stocktake is on a Monday then I won't be able to do it as I don't finish TAFE until 7.30pm. Ah well I'm not sad...

Working 5pm-9.15pm tonight. Pretty weird shift as I think it means they have to give me a tea break. Hopefully it goes fast. I'm already counting down the hours until I finish:(

I can't tell the difference between a Savoy Cabbage or a Drumhead Cabbage. Usually just select the one that comes up first :) Although every time I've asked a customer which kind it's be Savoy so makes me wonder if we even sell the drumhead ones.

So every operator get tested each week on fresh produce? Never seen this happen at Coles. Actually never done any test of any kind unless you count Mystery Shopper.

Only a recent thing at my store - came in early February so very recent. Not sure if the whole seedless is in the fruit and veg look up, we have the PLU code written on a piece of receipt roll and stuck to the registers with blue tak. Haha I was using 5930 as well until I was told. I was like...

At Coles they are not the same price :) e.g. the other week, whole seedless watermelon was 69c/kg and the cut seedless was 99c/kg

Yep they are. Went to a Franklin's the other week and we had bought an iceberg lettuce. They had to flick through a laminated book to get the code... she was like 'ah 4061' and I was thinking 'I could've told you that!' That being said, not everything might be the same. I.e. I've never used...

I haven't been told anything about the chip insert. A few months ago we had signs and pamphlets telling customers to do it but they suddenly disappeared. Some customers have asked whether they swipe or insert so I guess changing over won't be that hard for some people. It's quite ironic taking...

omg :O what were some of the areas? I heard rumors about our store manager being told off at some meeting because we got 50% on the last mystery shopper. They are doing a lot of crackdowns on doing jobs properly/uniforms etc at my store. some of it is a welcome relief as some people just don't...

I think the 'official' line is 'leather covered shoes'. I wear black skate shoes, other people from grocery wear similar skate type shoes, a lot of the females on service wear what I think are like ballet flats (they are out of luck if they drop something and it hits their foot) and then there...

    1) Pretty much it does. We had one text book for the 2 years and all of it was on the syllabus as far as I remember. Stuff we did in projects in year 11 we needed to do for the major so I guess the answer would be yes. 2) That's correct. D&T is the same as every other course. You have school...

They are terrible but also good. Key entering is a pain, and the barcodes aren't 'big' enough to cover the original barcodes so I've had so many times where the original bar code has scanned but I haven't realised (customer has) and then attempting to delete it is so annoying as well. When this...

The females at my store mainly wear pants. Those that wear skirts now have to wear stockings though and no more short skirts (although I wouldn't say they were short/inappropriate) and no more high waisted skirts (which I think looked completely horrible in the first place). I wouldn't be...

Which is why I don't want to change pants. Oh and btw, I'm female so finding suitable pants from Lowes isn't about to happen. Female business pants seem to make me look fatter then I am. Large 'top', skinny 'bottoms' - like a light bulb. I don't see the point in needing black socks when we are...

I agree! My pants are pure black, except they are a thicker material. My new service manager said they were jeans, but then changed her mind to cargos (after she felt the material). Said it wasn't acceptable and needed business pants. To me cargos have side pockets, and ironically I had been...
