Thoughts on Music 1 Aural Exam

Of course not, it was hardly mixed into a .wav master track in the 1100s. But the name of the performing artist and the recognisable instrumentation used implies kazoo would be an unlikely choice. It did sound like one though...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 2

Don't worry, me too. I'll be happy with 40%+ I'm wanting MX2 to not count towards my ATAR so I'm not incredibly fussed, I don't deserve a better mark. But you're right, BOS forums are the worst for your self-esteem.

    speeding lols

If it was only 3kms over you may be able to defend the speeding ticket but if it was a fixed speed camera there would have been signs leading up to it, or else you get the ticket from a cop on the spot. So you might have got lucky this time.

Thoughts on Music 1 Aural Exam

I normally just wrote them on the lines provided, though granted I only notated rhythms. And for that other person, it was Kenny Ball, Kenny Baker and Acker Bilk =)

Thoughts on Music 1 Aural Exam

I used it to notate the rhythms in the second version of They Took the Children Away or whatever it was called. Just the vibraphone ostinato and snare/kick rhythm. Do they normally provide it??

Thoughts on Music 1 Aural Exam

I thought about writing kazoo, but a little ounce of intuition told me that 12-century music would probably not be arranged with a kazoo part XD I thought the string instrument was a lute but who knows??? I thought that was the hardest question on the test. For the last one, once I realised I...

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Because the BOS has quite clearly been overwhelmed by people who all fucked up, they will just satiate them by saying 'your whole essay will be marked', ie. dont go and kill yourself. When they sit down to mark, they will probs brief and say 'just mark the whole essay as if they answered the...

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

TBH it shouldn't matter, regardless which one they determine to be the 'related text', everything else you wrote (except about the set text obv) gets counted as waffle which will bring your marks down for not being concise anyway.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

I don't think it affected anyone in our class, because we get taught in the weeks up the exam on how to break down and analyse the question so that we could answer it in the most efficient way =)

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Not really, it wasn't directed at anyone in particular. The real world makes you feel shit anyway, that's a fact. May as well get used to it.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Probs, but what people here would have to remember is that the markers don't ignore information that is irrelevant, if you have it in there but it's just 'waffle' in terms of what they are looking for then you cannot get good marks for having a strong, coherent, well-structured essay. It's not...

    Section 1 - Stimulus

For the house: The house is placed on top of the hands showing how a family is the foundation of a home. The house is in the child's hand because the child holds the house up (desire for stability, comfort etc), however it needs support from the mother's hand, who needs support from the father...

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Why would you write about two texts if they only ask for one?? Seems like writing a page-long answer for a one-mark question to me...it's not like they'll award you extra marks for providing shit they didn't ask to see. Clearly they wanted to see how well-read you were by only allowing you one...
