Changing courses (yr 1 to yr 2)

I'm pretty sure that if you're applying through UAC and you've completed (or will have completed) one full year of uni, then they will take 50% UAI and 50% tertiary gpa. if you're applying internally this could be different. and uac will still have your uai lol

    Nelson bags surfing lessons

i think if it counted towards your UAI it would be very outrageous but seeing as it doesn't, it would probably only be taken up by people who aren't intending to go to university anyway. i have to admit, i did think that it sounded pretty ridiculous when i read it. but now that i've...

    Importance of Assessments.

it really depends on what school if you're at a good selective, you could get average ranks in everything and still pull off a 95+ UAI. but if you're at a really poor school, you'll basically need to top everything and if you're at a school in between.. i'm sure you get my drift

    Course Preferences

Yes you can change your course preferences after you get your UAI. No, you will not know all the cut-offs by then. In fact, you won't know any of the 2006 cut-offs. You will know the 2005 cut-offs, but they aren't necessarily going to be the same. So even if your UAI is higher than the 2005...

    Arts/Law

what i mean is that, suddenly deciding to aim for a course with 99.6 entry after all your school assessments are already finished might be a bit late if you havent been aiming to get top marks in everything all year.
