    2014 4 Unit Prediction

tbh its too basic for 4u (in the sense there's so many other topics to challenge us with, i doubt examiners cbf with superannuation)

    HPF’s English Advanced Musings

Re: HPF’s English Advanced Stuff Having just sat HSC English myself, the points HPF has raised are so on point (hehe)!! I think she's hinted at it slightly with the emphasis on critically thinking, but I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure your essays and stuff have developed...

    10...11...12...13

Insurance is kind of a dumb idea, it's better just to focus on all your best units TBH 11 is a decent number, less workload than 12 but "safer" than 10. (I do 11!! Best life :D)

    BOSTES 4U conspiracy??

Lel I have a theory that once every few years the papers are extremely difficult (e.g. 2012, but 2009-2011 were relatively easier) Apparently 2005 was hard? So maybe the undoable papers pop up once every 8 years or so, so hopefully this year we are safe :D :D (I'm really hoping so, my...

Misread hsc timetable=> missed out biology exam. What's gonna happen now???:((

You can't sit the exam again. I think the mark you receive will be based on the internal marks your school submitted :/

What Should I Do? - Subject Conflict

11 is the best number of units I do 11 the dux of my school does 11 (do you see the trend here? hehe) drop the subject that takes you the most effort if you enjoy/ace all of them. You can find you have a lot more time on your hand. Or you can do 13 units for the first term, and drop them off...

    Justification for Past HSC

I'd say yeah, better safe than sorry but it does seem rather excessive for a 1 marker (but going to the marking criteria of some papers, they're very strict about conditions so it can be the difference between getting a 96 or 97 etc)
  13. rumbleroar

I need abit of explaining on this...

Nothing happens to the subject that doesn't counted. It just doesn't count lol The only problem with 10 units is that you need to make sure they're your best 10. If you think you can perform consistently well in all 10, then drop your poorest 2 units. No point waisting time and energy working...

    "cis" in 4unit maths

I reckon do it at school to please your teachers and get the marks, but in the actual HSC write "cis" because ain't nobody got time to write the full thing out.

    Stressing over getting into uni

The pathways getting into uni are so expansive it almost doesn't really matter if you can't get in anymore (except if its med lol). There's always bonus points, the ability to transfer, etc. Don't think about how badly your subjects scale, but rather how well you can perform in your subjects to...

    How many resources for notes?

When I made notes (I only made "notes" for English and one other subject) I only really needed one textbook or a few websites for extra information. I don't think it's very necessary to have 5 textbooks in front of you, because too much information can be extremely overwhelming. I recommend...

Best Resources to Have for Each Subject

Mathematics - Cambridge English advanced - read your texts at least twice (once before you start learning it, and second time after you have gone through it to find new evidence/insights) Chemistry - I heard Conquering Chemistry is good, but I don't do chemistry Biology - Biology in Focus...
