I propose that the people who suggest that Canberra is a hole have no real imagination or any real character. A place is only as good as you make it. So it all depends how much you try. Why is the world convinced that biggest is best? Canberra population: 350, 000.

Anu's (or what I like to call Anus) undergrad side is being downsized drastically from 10 000 spots to 6000 to make way for 4000 more spots in the post grad side of things. I.e. Anu is caring less and less about variety and performance in Undergraduate courses.

pffff they don't even stand 10ms!!! its more like just outside the library door. stinks.... there is something inherently disgustingly ugly about a person with a cigerette hanging out of their mouth or tips of their fingers... but each to their own. their choice.

Yeah, I presume it would be quite weird for asians... to study themselves... they are all in Commerce, come on. But then again, I do do a mastabutory major. English. We sit around and come up with new words. And theories. And then theories about those words, and try and use other words...

I'm going to jump in here. And say, You should all castrate yourself. If this is what is coming to ANU next year, I think I'll defer my later years and go... somewhere else. ;)

Im sure they would notify you if you were declined a place. I had to swap around my preferences after I put my initial ones in. All I did was email the accomodation people and said I would like to swap em round.

I agree Kenny75... Also, I dont know what everyone complains about with all that, and then the GSF!!!! our GSF is waaaayyyyy small compared to UNSW or MacUni. Theirs is like 400 a semester and ours about 200 all year... and then they complain about hecs.. and most of them do arts.. so its the...

besides.. if you take the intake from last year, over the amount of ANU owned colleges, then 200/3 (for there are 3 of them take take undergrads) ... 67 spots will be needed in each college... not that much. try looking at it from ANU's point of view.

as you said, you dont know much about ANU... nor the effect it will have upon the college life. Statistics wise, about 2000 people applied for college last year, about 200 missed out, most of them first years. whats cheaper, building a crappy 200-300 room college, or advising others to...

"I want sin!" Brave New World is an awesome book, and so is George Orwell's 1984.. its probably one of the few books that maticulous study in the hsc of cant degrade its worth or make it crap.. both very cool books... did neither in the hsc... but good anyway.
