    My hand hurts

Ah I remember the feeling after finish English Adv HSC, wrote, what... 6 booklets? Gah, the pain! >< However, if you're considering doing humanities subjects in University (I'm doing law), pain in hand from writing isn't just a temporary thing that occurs for the HSC, it's something you get...

    The Official Wild Swans thread

Gah I know, Tsevekidis was such a kickass teachers, had her for year 8, 9 and 10. I wander why she left. It shouldn't be because of a baby, didn't she just have one? Poor Sefton. Another good teacher gone.

    B. I guess you can say it really relates to genre. Because of it, many readings result. A reading from the West would mostly be positive. Evidence = the awards and lavish reviews she initiatly got. Because the many dabblings in genre, she was able to really "convince" the Western audience...

    related material for Retreat

A game isn't a bad idea at all. One of my friends did FFIX for RftG and I think she did ok. Just make sure you know the techniques in a game and that you have enough to write about.

    The Official Wild Swans thread

O_O Where did they go? I haven't had Diab before but I heard she was a good teacher... and I've had Tsevekidis and damn she was a good teacher. Damn, I don't know how Sefton would do this year if all the good English teachers leave. Believe me, you'll always be lost in Repin's class...

    Retreat From The Global

^^ I certainly think it was. The thing is, don't assume the marker gives a toss about your text. It doesn't matter if it's Fight Club or Toy Story. It's about how sophisticated your ESSAY is, not your text. You can ramble incohrently about Fight Club and you'll still get cruddy marks. Bug's...

    Retreat From The Global

Foxy, you from Sefton? You know, now that I've done the HSC, RFTG is actually quite a fun idea. While during the time it wasn't very amusing, in retrospect, it was kinda funny how most of the class failed it. It was my worse subject and didn't count. A bit of a waste, but it's surprising how...

    The Official Wild Swans thread

:D Wah, little Seftoners! Hello! I was one last year. Ah suckers, Wild Swans was a difficult text (although it surprisingly helps to be in Ms Repins class). You will grow to hate the book if you haven't already. Basically it's this. It lacks textual intergrity. There are many possible...

    2003 Exam, Question 8 - Finally resolved!

Gah that stupid question! I too, put torts, and got it wrong. Agreed that no damage was sustained, but by having the piece of metal there, isn't it still negligent? Like, you know how people open cans of food and there are insects in it or something, they can still sue, through torts right? Even...

    Law Students!

Sure thing, just go to the Law common room (W3A 328) on Monday morning or something and ask them. Just say that I'll be part of the team too (I doubt there is another first year law student called Belinda doing mooting). Hope to see you there! :)

    Law Students!

^^ I'm so nervous about it! The last time I did public speaking was back in year 4 and I've never done debating either. Gah, hope I don't stuff up terribly. However, I am looking forward to it. When does it start btw? Mmm... pancakes. Makes it all worth it eh? Sure am! You her bf? Join...

    Law Students!

Gah I hate those stupid course notes! It's so waffley and goes around and around in circles. I find it very ironic how the books and tutors keep telling us that we have to be clear, concise and succinct, while those course notes were anything but. I found I had to read it (sloooooowly), re-read...

MQ credit points compared to other Unis

Don't know if this has been answered yet, sorry if I'm repeating other people's question. I've done a bit of research, and it says that at MQ, a credit point is about 3 hours of work. So fair enough that we're only allowed to do 14cp a semester. However, credit points seem to work...

    enrolling tommorow?

Ah I meant parking on the day of the enrollment. I remembered when I went to accept the offer there was no one at the parking stations, people just drove in and out. But I guess you have to pay eh? Ah cheap, I'll probably walk from the shopping centre. ^^

    enrolling tommorow?

BTW, does parking at the Uni cost anything? Or is it still free?

    psych/law, lockers?

Woot, I got into Arts-Psych/Law! :D Anyhow, the stupid timetable with all its acroynms and numbers are confusing the hell out of me. Basically, the amount of credit points required (as listed in the handbook) for the first year only total 13 pts. So to remain a full-time student I have to...

Place your bets here for Tort vs Contract

This has been covered how many times? >< I don't do gambling, but I can "bet" that it's definitely tort. If you HAVE done consumers, you'd know that because of privity of contract, the consumer cannot sue the manufacturer because they don't have a contract with them, only with the supplier. So...

Do u believe HSC markers are .....

Yeah bad handwriting is a no no, which sucks cos when I write fast my writing is very messy. It makes sense though, if you're reading through all those hundreds of essays by kids you don't know, most markers wouldn't deliberately strain their eyes for you.
