During the times of Mohammed when the Quran was recorded by his scribes, women were attacked by crazy men, literally. As a form of protection, the hijab was worn.

my point was that i just proved that quotes from the net can be accurate

and i dont know what is wrong with the verse, beating is beating, even if it is lightly or strongly

that was the first from the 80 quotes u quoted that u actually got right.....and i dont know wat u find is wrong with it.....if a women leaves her husband and children and spends her time out on the town abandoning them and her religion and duties then she deserves a beating.......however its a last resort......u have to go through sooooo many things b4 u can actually hit her.....so its a last resort..if she fails to starighten up she eventually get a beating....a well deserved one i would imagine...

Lightly beating is totally different from strong beating. Hence the word "lightly" in brackets from the verse. Don't tell me you don't know the difference. And, it is totally different from the article one.

that's not in this context. It's not beating. You cannot twist your words. And I don't think there's such thing as shooting someone in the arm lightly as opposed to shooting in the head. A bullet is a bullet. It cannot be shot lightly.

The Bible has numerous tales of incest and murder. Look at the major ethical problems of today: pornography, the pedeophiles (even the priests), crime rates.

doing beat lightly is okay for eg. hitting lightly on the arm with a rolled newspaper as opposed to fully beating with a belt (completely forbidden). Yes. The Qur'an was revealed just over 1400 yeas ago, which mind you is a very long time.
