More like without Business, there would no no UTS. UTS "CAN" survive without science.. actually we might get along better haha =P Also the business faculty makes up 30% of the uni xD

Science = engineering > business in coolness, you kids like dont socialise with anyone apart from the law chicks

Well i guess its harder since Business and Law has their own little campus, away from the rest of you guys

i was working every day at the easter show

and now ive got this massive criminal law assignment worth 40% due 2 days before stats

so no stats until the 26th

I only have 1 day to cram stats

and i haven't even looked at the assignment yet

1 day won't be enough to cram stats tho.. especially on all that confusing shit we learnt in the last 2 lectures =\

I've looked at the assignment with my group members, managed to write down a bit when going through and discussing Emails 1-5. I haven't done any of it yet- it is all on hold until the 28th.

I've done the least work in Bstats and Marketing.. I'm going to try to attempt the impossible and do all the readings for both of them before saturday.. if i don't a <50 might be on the cards.

criminal law is more important
I'm gonna try and finish crim early
tahts gonna be impossible
but if i can have another day to cram stats that would be good

soooo i checked out the med.sci/business combined degree and was looking at the course program, its doesn't have anything about "stat, design and analysis" in it but its got "business statistics" in it.. if i transfer i will have to do stats again.?

No it wasn't. It used to be the main TAFE campus when UTS, UNSW and Ultimo TAFE were the same institution - UNSW left in the late 1950s into its Randwick and Wollongong campuses (later UOW), and UTS splintered off in '88, later absorbing Kuringai Teaching College and half of the Sydney College of the Arts (which it split with USYD) which transformed into the Kuringai campuses and the DAB faculty respectively. Ages and ages before that it was a college that taught auto-mechanics. And last time I checked there are no TAFES that teach actual engineering. So more like no business then no science or engineering.

NSW Institute of Technology = engineering

NSW Institute of Technology = TAFE back in the day. NSW Institute of Tech also was UNSW + UTS + Ultimo TAFE. Look up the TAFE site for the other half of the history.

You might be getting confused with the NSW University Institute of Technology, which split off from the rest to start as an engineering university and evolved into UNSW (not UTS).

I hope Marketing is easy.. I've done about half of the readings and I don't think I've taken all of it in. Lecture notes for the subject aren't that great.. especially on Marketing Strategy- the lecturer copied whole paragraphs from like 3 books to define it and it makes it a whole lot more confusing.

When I was granted an internal transfer from BScIT to BBusBComp, they looked at the subjects that I did and saw if they matched the subjects in my new course.

So most likely they will do the same to you.
If you've done a stats course before, chances are you will get exemption from it (even though business stats is business application to statistics). The subject doesn't have to be the same, just have similar outcomes.
e.g. I did Object-Oriented Programming (where we learn Java programming) and got an exemption on Programming Fundamentals (where you learn Visual Basic). They are completely different.

Do you get single awards or both on the same testamur certificate? Eg. two pieces of paper one for B.Science and one for B.Engeneering? or will they both be printed out on one piece of paper

i would probably say they put both onto one piece of paper
dont you graduate once you finish everything?...which from your point of view business subjects and med sci subjects

Yes you do finish when you finish complete the necessary subjects from both courses. I have no idea if it is printed on 1 or 2 testamur/s tho.

You finish when you finish both degree's, unless you opt out of one of them by transferring to one of the single degrees. You get 2 different pieces of paper (2 degrees) but at one graduation ceremony (ie. your home faculty's ceremony).
