Hey guys, if anybody here does/did business studies, wtf is the deal with the political theory of management? I don't get it. I understand it has something to do with power, and those that have power are ultimately those that make the decisions and whatnot, but what is negative/positive about it?

idk all those business studies things make no fucking sense and are just random pieces of shit. I'll make shit up though, let's say positive:

- Workers get to participate in decision making.
- Workers feel they have a stake in the company.
- Less responsibility for senior management allowing them to focus on more important tasks.
- Better decisions as they are made by those on the front lines.

Negative

- More beaurocracy, less efficient.
- Can cause in-fighting between different groups.
- Will require for many industries a sophistocated workforce.

- Uses of power and influence, management as negotiating and bargaining
- Structure as coalitions.
- stakeholder view
- positives and negatives of theory.

What's funny is that I asked my teacher, and she had absolutely no clue.
