Section 2 percentiles were changed.
It is not a sad excuse. Most people in my cohort did not get interview prep. As I said earlier, prep works for some peole and others don't need it. Its misleading to suggest it is necessary for everyone in boosting their chances and you're beginning to sound like you're desperate to plug your own services for financial gain rather than giving the students here any real honest adviceInterview preparation will make you do better than if you did not have any preparation regardless if you make it or not. This means that interview preparation does help the student but it's up to the student as to what benefit they can achieve. "If you are meant to get through and you are yourself you'll get through.", just a sad excuse for lack of preparation and/or motivation to get into medicine. Most people who sit interviews for medicine will have no problems being a doctor. 2/3 rejected because they rank poorly doesn't mean they aren't capable of being doctors.
I'm sure you talked to "most" people in your grade and I'm sure they would divulge such information to you. Since I heard from people in your grade you have "many" friends. Go read what the resident wrote.Look, stop trying to sell your fucking prep ffs.
Most people in my med cohort didn't do interview prep
Fak
Go read what the resident posted. I've been saying the same thing too all you juniors and no one seems to think I'm being honest which is completely fine. I will help all my students who decide to take my advice and help them get into medicine. It is not a sad excuse. Most people in my cohort did not get interview prep. That's interesting, so tell me, how do people make it in with no prep?Common sense for a Year 12 student who most likely don't have an extensive professional life. It's easy to say that once you've aged but for a student, they'll be making mistakes all day. You really don't think you can prep for a medical interview? They test the four principles of ethics. Do you know what they are? They look for depth in answers with touches of medical system knowledge to further enhance your answer. Do you think a Year 12 student can form such an answer without any training?
Training doesn't mean you'll get in. Training only improves your answers. This in addition with other factors (communication skills, etiquette, the way you act, dress, marks etc.) will influence whether you get in or not. That's interesting, so tell me, how do people make it in with no prep?
You didnt answer the question - if what you're saying is true, how would a person without prep get in? For someone who is offering advice to people in interviews, I hope you teach them to address the question...that is kind of a fundamental point you know.Training doesn't mean you'll get in. Most students don't think preparation won't help or think it's too expensive or think they can do it themselves. So there is still a significant pool of students with non-preparation background, so statistically speaking they will get in. Also interview scores is not the only deciding factor. You didnt answer the question - if what you're saying is true, how would a person without prep get in? i am friends with literally everyone in my gradeI'm sure you talked to "most" people in your grade and I'm sure they would divulge such information to you. Since I heard from people in your grade you have "many" friends. Go read what the resident wrote.
We're already in medicine thoughGo read what the resident posted. I've been saying the same thing too all you juniors and no one seems to think I'm being honest which is completely fine. I will help all my students who decide to take my advice and help them get into medicine.

Cut out your condescending attitude, you always explore all issues before reaching a conclusion for interview questions in medicine.
Sure. Making such a bold statement even though I know it's not true. I have asked my friend about you, shame she said she doesn't want to be your friend so not everyone is your friend "literally".i am friends with literally everyone in my grade
Literally
Cheers, appreciate your support. I really enjoy teaching and mentoring younger students and I want to give correct advice to students thinking of doing medicine as I myself was never given this opportunity. Being a final year medical student I believe I know more about the career path of medicine more so than first year students or people who do not even study medicine. From my experience with helping students with interviews, their answers do improve after sessions with me. I'm not the only person offering interview tutoring and I'm sure quite a few other people out there can do the same. I was just making a point that interview training will definitely improve your chances in the interview but there is still no guarantee you will make it into medicine. It's up to the student whether they think it is a worthwhile investment for them in their situation.Medman you're advice is appreciated, not everyone on this forum is in medicine already .
No need to get nasty people.
Cut out the personal attacks, I dont see what Riproot's friends have to do with this discussion. You're getting a negative reaction from people because you have taken a superior attitude towards them - that wont get you far on this site. Debate on these issues is a great thing I think, provided that it is done in a constructive manner.Cut out your condescending attitude, you always explore all issues before reaching a conclusion for interview questions in medicine.
You cant see the contradiction in this sentence?Well I wonder who made the first move. I have no intention to attack anyone personally unless they want to attack me using derogatory language. Superior attitude, please. I'm giving people advice based on my many years of experience and I encounter people with less than 1 year's experience giving poor advice. Obviously, people here don't seem to take my advice kindly and therefore, I will most likely stop in the near future.
lol, you're clearly joking.Sure. Making such a bold statement even though I know it's not true. I have asked my friend about you, shame she said she doesn't want to be your friend so not everyone is your friend "literally".
Hardly scrambling, didn't you say most of your friends didn't get interview training?
How about we agree to disagree. I will stop talking to you now.
P.S. Riproot you should be careful what you say to your elders in the field since you will never know when you will meet them in the future especially someone who knows who you are. Just general advice.

I hate it when people say you can't train for the interview (also UMAT), when I myself as well as my students have gone through the process and it has worked wonders.
