I remember spending first week of the holiday recharging from half yrlies, and the next week "trying" to study. April holiday is still early though, there's no point rushing yourselves, if you are like me than you probably forget everything you studied for in this holiday. Enjoy the fun while...

    taking time to adjust...

Sigh, I am in the same situation at UNSW....I miss the good old high school days playing cards and cracking jokes with friends in the canteen:(...I guess I am worse since I been in the same school all my life with friends I had since yr 7, the adjustment is abhorrent. Anyway, the only thing...

The "I didn't go well in my half yearlies" Thread

Re: I screwed up my half yearlies Don't worry don't worry. 25% is really just 12.5%. If physic is your only bad subject and you have more than 10 units then there's no need to worry too much. You still have 6 months to fix it up anyway. Work hard, decide where you wanna go after HSC, and be...

The "I didn't go well in my half yearlies" Thread

    Memorising an essay! tips?

Remember the main points, don't be too rigid with the structure. In the HSC you won't get the question in advance so practice now of writing essays with just points in mind.

    Subject help for HSC?

Do subjects you like and are good at, that way you can get the highest possible uai. Just a side note, extension eng is very different to eng adv, the way you think is more like math than english, so prehaps it won't be so bad if you are unsure. Legal studies is not assumed knowledge for...

    economies of scale?

Basically when you buy things in bulks, it's becomes cheaper. Likewise in an economy - if you produce a lot, cost for each unit becomes cheaper....there are reasons from iRuler's post.

    Pens in the HSC

Pencil for diagrams, black or blue pen for writing. Humans are marking the exam, they wont deliberately give you a hard time just because you used a gel pen or a green pen, so long it's readable, everything else will be fine. But pencil tends to smudge or fade easily, apart from diagrams...

    What you hate about UNSW

People who wear boxers and flip flops to uni to assert how casual and relaxed they are even though they are doing law.

External transfer to Comemrce at UNSW

Just a side question, since different uni do different subjects even for the same degree, what's up with that? If I transfer uni does that mean I will have to do their first yr courses again?

Who's afraid of the big scary law degree?

It making me do crappier, then I guess so, but whether or not I will like the subject is another thing....still, I'll have to ride through this semester to avoid regret.

Who's afraid of the big scary law degree?

Whatever Spongehead said, you are just lucky. As for me I've not felt this down since my birth, looking at the assignment schedules literally makes me want to throw up, though I am beginning to accept my cruel and untenable fate. I've decided to drop it and just do commerce if things don't...
