E4s In Ext 1 and Ext 2 maths

Remember, raw band cut-offs change from year to year, depending on the difficulty of the exam as judged by the experienced teacher judges. After learning about and fully understanding aligning of marks, I was heapsssss relieved and realised that a Band 6 is still possible for most of my subjects.

    Timing in the exam

For my trial, I realised I poorly allocated time for each response in Paper 2. I spent around 45-50 minutes to write 5 pages of our schools writing booklets (equal to 10 hsc writing booklet pages) for Mod A, then 50 minutes for a lengthy but sophisticated King Lear response... which left me only...

E4s In Ext 1 and Ext 2 maths

From what I've read in the raw cut-off threads... to get an E4 in MX1 you would need a raw exam mark of around 58-62/84, which is definitely achievable. Even if you don't attempt Questions 6 and 7, and ace and get almost full marks in 1-5, then you're looking good to get an E4. Don't have a...

What will you be doing post-HSC?

At least once a day I daydream about the last few minutes of my Chemistry exam (which is my last one), and then jumping out the hall doors to freedom! But then there's that painful feeling of returning to the reality that exams are only STARTING in under 2 weeks. :cold:

What study did you do today?

Re: 回复: Re: What study did you do today? around 4 hours studying English adv modules A and B. spent an hour on maths. unless I stay home and don't go out tonight, I doubt i'll be doing anymore study today.

For those of us taking more than 10 units into the HSC...

Im on 13 units... its hard to say what won't count for me... maybe MX1, or even Economics. Having 13 units wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

    Rounding off

King Lear Help A.s.a.p On Context And Essay Structure

Mod.B with King Lear is perhaps one of the most difficult modules in English adv. For this module, I would recommend you not focus much on context (however it is vital that you still integrate it into each body paragraph)... but the readings/interpetations of King lear (eg...

    Please give me some advice

More importantly, focus on the criteria I highlighted in bold, and make sure they are integrated in a sophisticated manner in each paragraph. I would advise reading my post again lol. If I was a HSC Marker... that essay would be around 12/20, maybe less.

    Rounding off

Always make sure you round off to the lowest number of significant figures used in the entire question. e.g. if 0.1g is the figure used with the least number of significant figures.. then you must give your final answer accurate to 1 significant figure. Also.. for pH calculations...

    Questions

Just always remember as a fact that ONLY temperature changes the value of K. High pressure isn't economically viable, since the yield of SO3 is very high anyway (98%) with 1-2atm.

    Please give me some advice

Skimming over your essay... I noticed that you tend to have short paragraphs which just analyse one quote. Firstly, with your intro, I would mention the titles of the two texts, their composers (and year of production), and outline the textual themes in each which you can use to compare, and...

Anyone received a confirmation letter for Usyd Scholarships?

I'm just curious as to whether anyone who applied for USyd Scholarship for school leavers, has received some sort of confirmation of receipt - letter or email? I just hope mine arrived.. I spent weeks putting it all together, and if it's been lost in the mail I'll be uber pissed.

    Scenario: HSC Starts tomorrow?

Re: HSC Starts tomorrow? Lol it's suprising how many people think they would fail etc. when HSC only starts in 2 weeks... do the next 2 weeks really make THAT much of a difference (ie fail or a band 6?)
