Big NO according to my Bio teacher.... my doctor says they're no good to have before exams either. You're much better off having something with a low GI, like a banana or an apple, right before the exam. Have a good drink of water too, but not so much that you need to take a toilet break...

I agree. Independent IPT 2008 Trial was super hard, compared to CSSA. I only got 83% for it.

Well you keep your exam mark regardless.. so if you screw up your exam, that mark will drag down your HSC Mark. I personally wouldn't depend on others to achieve the good marks... they could screw up. Just study and do your best... only 40 more days of this.

According to one of my teachers, up to 90% of HSC Students are having a 'break' at the moment... I haven't really done nothing.. I have been doing past papers and all, but need to pick up some pace.

Definitely, considering I came 1st in everything except MX1. lol One of the teachers at my school confused me the other day... he said that ranks can still change with the exam. I think he meant that assessment ranks can change if someone does better than you in the exam, obviously he has...

My chem teacher has contributed to Chemistry textbooks in the past. He writes his own typed notes, and he gives us each unit of each topic as a booklet, and at the end of each booklet are related HSC Questions from past papers. Also, our chem teacher makes us do a 15 mark quiz for each unit...

HSC Chemistry is so much more interesting than Prelim Chem... I personally would advise continuing with chemistry, and then if you don't like the HSC course, you can always drop it.

While on the topic of xylem and phloem.. I keep getting confused: Is xylem situated on the outer side, and phloem on the inside? i.e. where they join at the cambium. That's what my bio teacher tells me.. But in some textbooks i've seen phloem on the outer side, and xylem on the inner...
